People often say, you cannot obey all that Yah has commaned. I say run from these deceivers. If I tell my five year old son to take the refrigerator outside or else you will be beaten, that would be an unrighteous act right? Of course, why? Because I asked him to do something that I know he cannot do and then punished him for not doing it. That is perverse but Yah is not perverse.
He said He will not place a burden on us that we cannot bear and He did not lie. So unless that person bellieve God has lied, they should not say we cannot obey Yah.
So my question is what Law of Yah does a person not have the ablility to obey? lying? adultery? resting on the Shabbat? stealing? Let's not be foolish and say we don't have goats to sacrifice or lambs here. Let's be intellegent adults ok.
I'm tired of false teachers saying Yahweh's Law has been done away with. They say we cannot obey. Okay prove it, which Law did He not give us the ability to obey?

Okay, we are talking about OT here. Which does a person not have the ability to obey. Some have said they can't remain faithful to thier wives, tell the truth, not steal, etc. This is interesting. I never knew people couldn't tell the truth or not steal. Carry on
But again, OT Gen-Duet. Traditions of Pharisee are not Yah's law, so don't worry about those. This is about what people say is done away with, i.e. the Law...

I said, "He said He will not place a burden on us that we cannot bear " Just wanted to clear that up. I didn't say He would not place a burden on us. I said He wouldn't place one on us that we cannot bear.

God has made a simple law from the very beginning. He instructed Adam and Eve not to eat the fruit of the tree at the center of the Garden of Eden. From the very beginning of history of man, it has already noted that man's curiousity for something unknown had always lead him to disobey even a simple rule.
God never gave a law that man could not follow. It is only man who always try to look for an answer "WHY" to the law. Like a child, when you tell him to stop scratching his legs, he will not immediately follow and instead will ask you "why?" and would even insist on scratching it.
When I said that God does not give a law that man cannot follow, I do not mean it is easy to follow but it can be followed. What is hard for it is that His laws are oftentimes contrary to what our senses tell us as enjoyable to do.Sabbath rest for example, for me it is easy to follow because it is to rest and not to do anything on that day (maybe because I am naturally lazy) but for some who wanted to accumulate more than what he can provide for himself, he will defy that to earn more. Adultery as another example..since most of the time, we find our libidos active and our mind wanders between being faithful and adventurous, we even try to create an excuse that man is naturally polygamous or for women not to be really certain about true love because they only fall in love with the man who come to their lives and not necessarily whom they relentlessly searched for especailly during the conservative years.
You used the word "He will not place a burden on us". Let me show a passage in the......
Book of Revelation 2:24 Now I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, to you who hold to her teachings and learned SATAN's so-called deep secrets (I will not impose any other burden on you).
I guess you should consider God's law is really a burden but burden that we really have to pass through so we can enjoy his blessings and grace if we take the right way to His laws.

Whoa, calm down oh warrior! This is a misunderstanding that a lot of people have. The reason that folks say you cannot obey every law in the Bible is because there are something like 613 actual laws listed.
Additionally, just before Jesus birth, the Pharisee had scores of other "rules" they put into place which dictated a persons every move in this life. NO ONE could possibly obey every single law and never break one their entire life. Just wouldn't happen, no one is that good! lol
But that was the good news of Jesus, that it's not about obeying every single law. It's about your soul's desire to know and love your God. Even if you obeyed every single law your entire life, if you had a heart of stone you'd wind up in hell. But Jesus wanted us to know that God is trying to tell us "yeah, I know you sinned, but take My hand and walk with Me anyway"

interesting
but Jesus said
NO MAN COMES TO ME UNLESS THE FATHER DRAW HIM in John 6 clearly coming to Jesus is a command and it required a work of God to fullfill it
by Jesus own words
it depends what you mean... of course with God;s help we can do all things... Jesus would say without God;s help we cant do anything
THE FLESH PROPHETS NOTHING
lets assume you meant to claim on our own we can obey all of God;s commands.... NO WAY
Biblically the last people who had complete ability to choose good or evil unencumbered by a fallen human nature were Adam and Eve before the fall. After the fall mankind nature was tinged with sin and radically corrupted. The cross not being a crutch but a stretcher. And grace somes through the work of the second Adam Jesus who changes hearts from the fallen predilection to sin and reject God to love HIm by grace
Bottom line...
You realize you just took the position of Palagius
who was condemned by the early Church councils and the early catholic church rightly decided in favor of Augustine aas did the protestant reformation
Palagianism was soundly condemned by early church council which also rejected but less strongly semi palagianism
the Reformers would take the sie of Augustine, virtually all evangelicals and reformed PRotestants and conservative Cathilics would not agree with what you just said..
leaving... perhaps liberal Christianity which feels man is basically good and without a fallen nature

So True!
Just wanted to say thanks for shedding light on the fact that sinning is willful in most cases, besides the imperfect inheritance provided by Adam!
There is no command given by God that we cannot do - with his help! And trust, he is willing to help his loyal servants!

In the garden of Eden man and woman did not yet know the difference or knowledge between good and evil. Natural curiosity in learning new things is part of our free will.We are not insects.

Laws 1 - 10 plus the additon Jesus gave us to love our neighbor as ourself. The reason is called sin, original, societal, personal and it is why Jesus needed to die for our sins.
Example: Adultery - every ad/show/joke you hear which debases the other person by making them an object to gain your attention.

Well, try ask someone who is Jehovah's Witnesses and they will be happy to answer your question.
To ^Renee^: Yes, God's name is Yahweh in Hebrew language. Jehovah is English name so we can call his name in easier way.
What makes you think it's funny?

He is both just and merciful. In fact you cannot be one without the other. That is one of the key points of misunderstanding for the non-theist. They don't see how justice and mercy go hand in hand. At least not when they have to contemplate their own sin.

The purity laws would seem to outlaw mixing types of materiels for clothing..so no 50/50 shirts.
