I am interested in this, presumably there must be gay muslims, and muslim orphans so what would be the situation?
I know Islam is a very enlightened culture so perhaps we should look to them, for help with this present dilemma.

They do not like homosexuals. Why ask them ? Do you honestly think its good to subject children who are innocent and pure, to such behaviors ? What is this going to teach them ? How ABNORMAL society has become !!
Way to tolerant of filth like porn, half naked people, homosexuality, etc......but they dont want you smokers smoking in a car with your kids, but you can suck face with the man next to you if your a man, and its okay...geez oh petes

Most strictly Islamic countries have SEVERE penalties for homosexuality. Most give the death penalty and people have been killed on suspicion that they were gay, many times without proof.
Also, single people, to the best of my knowledge, are not allowed to adopt children in those same countries so there is no way to skirt around the rules like there is in China and a few other countries.
And, while I agree that SOME issues within Islam are more enlightened than in other countries, I'd have to disagree with you on viewing them as an authority on this subject. (Those few countries who are strictly Islamic and who have written Islamic laws into their "secular" body of laws as well) These same countries also do NOT have a very enlightened view of Women either.

That is an excellent point. And to the left-wing sycophantic apologists, I say get a life you mealy-mouthed spineless pricks.
In some islamic countries the gay people would be hung, actually slowly strangled by raising them up in the air wit a rope around their neck.
There is also no such thing as adoption in islam - muhammed (curses be upon him) wanted to marry his adopted son's wife. To do this, he outlawed adoption, which then made his adopted son's wife not his daughter-in-law anymore. Then he married her.
There are hundreds of websites for gay muslims, so yes there are plenty of them - approximately 8-10%. To be gay, it means they are directly disobeying the teachings of the koran and muhammed, yet they still do it. This leads me to say that they are selective about which parts of the koran they adhere to - so why don't they just not adhere to the 'jihad' and 'kill the infidel' bits? Make the world a safe place wouldn't it.
But no, they will neither admit it or face the truth. The facts about their ugly evil cult.

A very good point. There is probably nothing specific in the Koran that prohibits gay couples from adopting or bringing up a child.
However I suspect the mad mullahs would in practice not allow this to happen because they would be concerned that criminal proceedings (jail, death) would be likely to be taken against the couple themselves for the fact of their being gay, and this would make them unsuitable parents.

islam is not an enlightened culture towards homosexuals and lesbians. it is the most anti-homosexual religion in the world, even more so than christianity. gay people are ostracized and made out to be evil and filthy. i dont think you've ever been to an islamic country or studied islam in more depth. i suggest you go to kingdom of saudi arabia where they sever your hand for stealing or stone you to death for adultery. i will let you use your imagination on the punishment for homosexuality. have you ever been promiscuous in marriage ecky?

Muslim societies do not accept the homosexual lifestyle as a healthy one. You being an enlightened individual are enlightened enough not to try to force your concept of enlightenment onto other societies.
Anyways, most Muslim countries also have a culture where people have large extended families. If a child were to be orphaned he would more likely than not be taken in by a relative or even neighbor without any official or orphanage ever being consulted.

Islamic countries have the highest proportion of homosexuality and the least acceptance of it.
Extreme separation of the sexes manufactures homosexuality faster than Oscar Meier makes weiners.
Dont believe me? Find any service person whose been to these countries...they are all briefed on this fact so they can be "senstive" to it and not create an uproar by making fun of it.
