This was one of the challenging questions we had in class. Just thought of sharing this with you and to read different answers that we can all relate to.

I'm not prepared at all. I haven't been to church in about 6 months. I cuss all the time. I'm married and at least I can say I haven't cheated but I hate my husband sometimes. I don't forgive as easily as we are supposed to. I saw a question once that went something like this, "If Jesus walked into your house right now, would you be able to let him in or would you have to hide things from him?" I would have to hide my husband's porn, my cigarettes, etc. He'd probably take one look around, shake his head and walk out. I know I need to get back to church, get back to prayer. I don't want to wait around until the last minute and try to repent just to get into heaven.

We can only do so much to be ready. Remember what it's like when your mother is expecting a very important visitor? The house has to be spotless and you have to be dressed in your best clothes and you can't get dirty. Mother is in a state of high anxiety and everyone is nervous. By the time the visitor gets there the whole family is having a nervous breakdown. If you have followed the steps that Jesus outlined, taken in the knowledge of God, truly repented of your sins, been baptized, read your Bible daily, test yourself to assure yourself that you are maintaining it's principles and praying for God's spirit to guide you, then there is little else you can do.

The flaw in the question is "prepared"...Jesus is not something you prepare for.

If you have to prepare - you are acting contrary to how you are. It is like a violent person preparing to be non-violent.

If Jesus returned today, I would invite him over for supper...totally at ease. I know how I am...no preparation needed.

I think I would have to rely on his mercy and grace...In thinking about it I need to ask the Lord for forgiveness right now.

Lord Jesus forgive me of all my wrong doing, make me righteous in your eyes. Thank you Lord for your mercy and grace.
Amen

I want to go to Heaven and I believe that Jesus exist and died physically.
...who so ever believe in me shall not prish but have ever lasting life..., right?
Is it that if we claim to be saved we are to have faith that we're going to Heaven. I will!

I suppose it depends on how prepared he was to prove himself to be Jesus...and if he suceeded, I'd admit, I would be shocked.
