Dont do anything unless you CATCH her/him. Its not her fault you let her run around un attended. Put her in a crate at night or take her out every hour or so.

I find that when you walk in to a room with accidents on the floor, it is best to ignore the dog, and clean it up. DON'T spank him or rub his nose in it. It is cruel anyways, but when you punish the dog after it has already happened, he is not sure what you are punishing him for, and it could cause some confusion for him. Instead you should get him a crate, keep him in the crate at night, until he is fully potty trained. Dogs don't like to soil in the same area they sleep. So, as long as he is not left in there for Hours, it should stay clean. Then the FIRST thing you do when you wake up is take him out to go potty. When he goes outside, Praise him A Lot. Tell him good boy, get excited about it. And because he is young, he can't hold it in for too long, he has to go out every few hours. And it is also a good idea to take him outside to go potty a few minutes after he finishes eating. If you do catch him in the act of going potty in the house, sternly tell him No! And immediately take him outside. While he is still so young, it is best not to leave him unsupervised in the house. Keep an eye on him all the time. That way you can catch any accidents he has, and correct him by taking him outside. I hope this helps, and i hope your puppy eventually gets potty trained. And if you haven't done this already, i think taking him to a puppy obedience class is a great idea. Especially because he is going to grow up to be Very large and powerful. You want to make sure you can properly handle him once he gets to be an adult.

IGNORE IT!! If you don't catch him in the act he will just learn that when you wake up you are to be feared.
And you don't want a dogue de bordeaux to be afraid of you, there is something called fear aggression remember.
If it is full of poop, you are feeding him too much, or not giving him the opportunity (or poopertunity as it is called in my house) to relieve himself thoroughly before bed.
Make sure he goes for a walk -not out in the back yard- an actual walk, on leash, for about 20 minutes before bed, make sure the last thing he does is poop and pee.
The most important thing for housetraining is routine, and the dog will know that he will get the chance to go outside soon enough.
Since he has started 'going' in the house, you are going to have to double or even triple the amount of times he gets to go out in the run of a day. Then once the accidents stop, you can gradually reduce the number orf times outside.
If he is not neutered, he has a lot more urine being created than that of a neutered dog. My dog peed all the time spreading his territory until he was neutered, now he can last up to 8 hours (we haven't tested him longer than that).
So routine routine routine!
If he makes a mess tomorrow morning, leave it in the kitchen, take him outside and PRAISE PRAISE PRAISE when he goes outside, then bring him in and reward him with his breakfast.
While he is eating, clean up. Feel free to grumble and sound "disappointed" while cleaning up his mess. If you are loud and yell and stomp and cuss, he will just learn that you are unstable, and maybe not a good leader. But I know you can be!
Dogs learn best when you show them what is right, not when you get angry about what they did wrong.
Good Luck!
Remember, Lots of walkies!!

First of all, don't mistake your dog's behaviour as being "protective" when he starts to jump all over you guys when you and your boyfriend cuddle. It's also not that he wants to be involved or trying to get your attention. He is trying to be dominant over one of your or both of you. This dog needs more structure and boundaries to excel in your home. Also, how much exercise is he getting? He will calm down a bit if he's getting adequate exercise - and I mean actual walks and things to engage his mind, not just tossing him in the backyard kind of thing. You need to be able to read your dog's body language a bit better. Sometimes my dog will bark and whine at my cat - it sounds a bit like growling but it isn't. He is just frustrated that the cat doesn't want to play with him or won't let him sniff him. My cat HATES my dog and that has never changed. You just have to learn to have both animals in your house and keep them both happy. I ensure this by putting a baby gate on the doorway of one of the bedrooms upstairs. There is enough room for the cat to run underneath it but the dog can't get over it or under it. This way the cat has somewhere he can go to get away from the dog. Originally I had the baby gate at the bottom of the stairs so that the dog could get used to the fact that he was to stay downstairs while the cat stayed upstairs. My dog respects that boundary now and only goes upstairs if we allow him to.

You don't deal with the dog, you do something to prevent accidents. Crate training is exellent for housebreaking a pup. If you don't want to use a crate, confine him to a bathroom or someplace smaller than the dining room. He has too much room and no incentive to "hold it." Though, at his age, the muscles that control elimination are just starting to develop. Pups will generally be able to hold it through the night before they are able to control themselves during the day, but you shouldn't make him go any longer than 8 hours overnight for the next month or so.

She needs to be crated at night. Dogs won't go in their beds. Get a crate that is the right size for her. Also, when you clean it up make sure she is not around to see you do it. That makes her the boss if you have to clean up after her. Put her outside and then clean up. Clean it VERY well, but never use anmonia! Work potty training her and taking her out often.

You crate train him, no dog will mess in his crate. How on earth have you gone this long without housetraining him? You can't expect him to know any better unless you teach him.
Limit his water before bedtime, take him for a walk before he goes to bed, and take him out immediately in the morning, as soon as you let him out of the crate.
My dogs have all been housetrained within a week (even a 6 week old), because I crate trained them from the first.

Hitting, shouting at or rubbing a dog's nose in anything humiliates them. This may sound like a good thing but it is not. It makes them nervous and they are then likely to cower when trying to train them. Listen to the advice on feeding times.

dont punish him for havin 1s an 2s, he cant help it, let him out before you go to bed and watch him as he 'goes the loo' so to speak and praise him when he does it outside. These dogs are quite intelligent so it wont take him long to figure out what makes you happy, dont rub his face in his sh it or pi ss, not very hygienic!. your patience and kindness will go along way with these types of dogs.
