According to Dante and Medieval theology, Hell is in the center of the Earth as, based upon an Earth-centered Universal theory, the center of the Earth is the farthest point from God's warmth.

Great question!! I believe that it very well could be. Just because the center of the earth is a physical domain doesn't mean it can't earth spiritual forms as well. I have felt spiritual forms on earth and it's a physical place. Plus, if you are a Christan than it speaks of the earth as being Satins domain, and he rules this place, so it does make since that he would be kept here for a thousand years.

Hell is not a divine invention...The Holy God does not want or need that kind of "justice" or "revenge".
Hell is strictly of human design...different people believe different things about it, including where it might be.
Thankfully, both death and "hell" (the grave), are scheduled to be tossed into the incinerator, along with all the rest of the garbage (anything that causes harm, such as disease, and especially sin), and destroyed completely.

uhm, see, the hell of the Bible is not even created yet. It is a common misconception to believe that. In fact, the place which has been created is actually called the Abyss. It's a holding place until Hell is created as prediceted in revelations.

In the core of solid iron? Hmm...
Well they used to believe hell was underground - and that heaven was in the sky.
Prophets climbed mountains to be closer to god, didnt they?
I wish religion had died when people realised how silly that was, instead heaven and hell got relocated and religion evolved and adapted like a hyper mutating virus.

A hell, according to many religious beliefs, is an afterlife of suffering where the wicked or unrighteous dead are punished. Hells are almost always depicted as underground. In Christianity and Islam, hell is fiery. Hells from other traditions, however, are sometimes cold and gloomy. Some hells are described in graphic and gruesome detail (for example, Buddhist naraka). Religions with a linear divine history often depict hell as endless (for example, see Hell in Christian beliefs). Religions with a cyclic history often depict hell as an intermediary period between incarnations (for example, see Chinese Di Yu). Punishment in hell typically corresponds to sins committed in life. Sometimes these distinctions are specific, with damned souls suffering for each wrong committed (see for example Plato's myth of Er), and sometimes they're general, with sinners being relegated to one or more chamber of hell or level of suffering (for example, Augustine of Hippo asserting that unbaptized infants suffer less in hell than unbaptized adults). In Islam and Christianity, however, faith and repentance play a larger role than actions in determining a soul's afterlife destinty.
Hells are often populated with demons, who torment the damned. Many are ruled by a death god (such as the Chinese Yama) or other dreadful supernatural figure.
In contrast to hells, other general types of afterlives are abodes of the dead and paradises. Abodes of the dead are neutral places for all the dead (for example, see sheol), rather than prisons of punishment for sinners. A paradise is a happy afterlife for some or all the dead (for example, see heaven).
