Ragu Robusto Roasted Garlic flavor. I usually add Contadina Italian Herb Tomato Paste and sharp cheddar cheese. Oh, and ground beef.

Either Tuttorosso Natural or Bertolli.
If I just need a Marinara, I don't add anything. For other kinds and uses of sauce I add extra sauteed vegetables,(garlic and onions, red peppers, etc.
For a meat sauce I usually sautee ground round and a good homemade Italian sausage from an Italian butcher shop also. There are so many things you can add, it depends on the dish and my mood.
I also often top it off wwith a little extra virgin Olive Oil for homemade flavor.

People don't realize companies change their recipes every so many years and they refuse to try one that was nasty at one time.
I liked Ragu in the late eighties, until they changed the recipe.
I liked Hunts in a can until recently. Now it tastes too sugary.
Right now I like Ragu's mamma's special garden, but I add tomato paste. Really, I like making my own with 2 cans whole tomates, 1 can tomato puree, 1 can tomato paste and spices when I have time.

Well i tend to change around from one to another but generally I will pan saute some onions first and then add the onions as well as a bit of beef broth (to cut the strong acidic flavor that some sauces have). I also brown ground beef and add it as well.

I saute onions and spicy Italian sausage add one large can stewed tomatoes and one jar prepared sauce (Classico or whatever is on sale, usually arriabiatta or cheese flavors) tastes like homemade.

If alfredo counts, then it's Classico Roasted Garlic Alfredo. Only I saute mushrooms first, then dump in the sauce, then add more cheese at the end and pepper.

It was Ragu until they started putting chunky tomatoes and veggies in every flavor. Now I like to use Prego. I do add fresh garlic and onions to mine for more flavor. (and of course meat) Oh my gosh I am so hungry right now...I think spaghetti will be our dinner tonight.....

A brand I discovered is called "Bertolli". It costs a bit more than the other brands but it's hands down the best that I have discovered to date. I think they have about 5 or 6 varieties. Nothing needed in addition to it but a nice bottle of wine.

I prefer Hunts Garlic & Onion. I add a little sugar because its a little sharp to my taste. I also add some dried chopped onions and occasionally some fresh mushrooms....
