It could be very elegant - the key is to keep it simple:
1. Go with all black and white photos, or all sepia. Colored photos will be very busy, were as black/white is elegant and uniform.
2. Minimize the photos, but make them big. For example, on the wall of the church - use a few 8 x 10 black and white photos, spaced at least 5-6 feet apart ad use tulle/ribbon/flowers, etc to create an elegant feel. For example, drap tulle in swags along the top of the wall, hanging photos in matching frames from every other swag end. If you use photos on the cake, again keep it simple: pick a few key photos so as not to over do it. Same with centerpeices - one photo, accented by flowers/tulle/candles, etc.

Cool idea!
Did you know that you can rent those photo booths for about 1000 for a day? Your guests could get pictures for free and the machine prints out 2 copies...1 for them and 1 for you! Wouldn't that be cool with your wedding theme?
There is a company near me that only does it in the Cincinnati area, but I found this other website: http://www.classicphotobooth.net/

I think that sounds very creative. Remember it's about what you want, not what you're worried other people might find tacky. There will always be someone who thinks your wedding was the most beautiful wedding they've ever attended, and then someone who thought it was the most tacky, irreverant service they've ever seen! You can't please everyone, and the most important person to please is you and your new husband. Have fun, and keep being creative!

I think it's cute, but it might be better where the reception is going to be, if you have it where the ceremony is people may be looking at the pictures and not watching the ceremony. Is the cake layers your favorite and his favorite???

Hey!!!! That's a wonderful idea!! If my husband and I were to ever renew our vows, that's what I would want to do, if my husband were to want the same.
Extremely creative, go with it!!!!
Congrats on your wedding/marriage!!!!!
