Bofra (and everyone else), beer does not get skunky because it's exposed to warm temperatures. It gets skunky when it's exposed to ultraviolet light, including sunlight and flourescent lighting. The hop acids in the beer react to UV rays, creating that skunky smell and flavor.
Most beers are bottled in brown glass as it does a good job at protecting the beer. Green glass (a la Becks and Heineken) does not do as good a job.

I think a lot of it has to do with the color of the glass the bottle is made of...the lighter the glass the skunkier the beer.
Light and heat change beers taste. As well as being cold & hot
