Does anyone know of a really good and Windows based search and replace text program that can work in batches?
I've got thousands of files I need to edit slightly, including small text inside the program, as well as renaming the extension of the file.

Thanks!

I use one for all of my sites called "Simple Search and Replace" that works wonders. It came as a freebie included with other programs, so let me pop over to my server and I will set up a link so that you will be able to download it for yourself. I have included the link at the bottom of Chatty Cathy & Friends our favorite downloads page 1.
Hope this helps

My favorite for this kind of task would be UltraEdit. It will do exactly what you need, you can batch it, and perform the same repetitive tasks on thousands of files at once. I normally prefer to write my own batch files and scripts, or I like to use freeware. This is one of those utilities that is so good that I have actually paid for, although it does have a free trial period to see if you like it.

Find & Replace http://download.cnet.com/Find-Replace/3000-2351_4-76089757.html . Used that with really good results. Intuitive interface and great file processing speed.
