I need help with my fingering in Piano. I am having trouble with the cross over on my left hand. My instructor told me that you cross over to your middle finger. But you have 3 fingers on the left side and 4 on the right side? I am confused. I need to know C major, D, E, A, F majors. Can you help me? Can you break it down finger wise? I really need someones help. Do you reccomend a book? Best answer that I can follow gets 10 points!

k, i had a hard time learning the scales too. so what you should do is,

12312345
put down you thumb, then pointer, than middle, bring your thumb under and play the next note while lifting the pointer and middle fingers, then, just keep goingon with the notes,

for the c scale,(right hand) going up

thumb pointer middle thumb pointer middle ring pinkie
c d e f g a b c

going down the scale is different

pinkie ring middle pointer thumb (bring over middle and pointer)
high c b a g f

middle pointer (bring thumb under) thumb
e d c

youll dou the same for all the other scales except that you will have to watch for sharps and flats

i really hope i did not sound too confusing.
good luck

You have five fingers on your left hand, little finger is 1, thumb is 5. Now in sequence 1,2,3,4,5, 3,4,5.

Keep practicing!
