I'll agree with Joseph, I'll take the Iceman in the cage and Silva in Pride. I think Chuck woud get him for some reason, but it's all speculation. I think the Iceman would have a bigger problem with a guy like Arona or Rampage, those guys are super strong and would be able to take him down. You have to consider these facts though also, Liddell is considered the #1 light heavyweight in the world, the problem is #2Rua, #3Silva,#4Arona,#5lilNog are all in another org. That will hurt Chucks legacy unless he gets to fight one of these guys. Rampage who is probably around #6 already beat him, so that does'nt look good.

I got to give it to Chuck Liddell because if Wanderlei Silva comes to the UFC Chuck has a slight edge because of the rule change Wanderlei will go through. Chuck Liddell knocks people out, thats what he does and Wanderlei is no joke he gave Rampage a big beating twice. So if you want an answer the answer is which ever fighter makes the first mistake, like Franklin vs Silva. I am on Chucks side but I went crazy when I heard that there were going to fight. I guess the world will never really know until it actually happens.

Wanderlai and Chuck would win with home ring advantage. I think that Wandi would have a good chance of getting Chuck in the clinch and delivering some serious knees in either Pride or the UFC. On the other hand, I see Chuck winning the exchanges in either league. Both have been beaten by being out struck (Rampage and CroCop) and both have been beaten on the ground (Horn and Arona). Chuck has the better take down defense and cleaner striking, whereas Wandi gets taken down more often and flurries a lot with his punches. Wandi is faster than Chuck and is more effective in the clinch. I have seen Silva recover from a devastating right, delivered by Dan Henderson, so I'd say his recovery abilities are superior to Chuck's. I would give a slight edge to the Iceman though, as he rarely ever gets clinched up or taken down, which is where the Axe Murderer would have the advantage.

Wanderlei in my mind is the better all around fighter. He would beat Liddell 80% of the time if they fought a series of fights. Liddell might get lucky on a knockout punch, but in a true grind-it-out fight, Silva would be my pick.

Everybody is always talking about Chuck and Wandy. I don't know if it's just because Wandy is starting to get promoted here in the U.S. but there are at least two other fighter from Pride that would have a very good chance at beating Chuck. Rua and Arona. And also another one that is in the UFC is Michael Bisping.

Wanderlei Silva will win. It wouldn't matter where. Silva is just a better all aroud fighter than Liddell.

I agree with Joe B. Wanderlei is notorious for stompin and kickin his opponents when he gets them to the ground and he definitely couldn't do that in the UFC.
So if it happens in a cage Chuck probably wins, if it happens in a ring Wanderlei probably wins.
I say probably because lets be honest, either one of them could knock eachother out.

It really depends on where they fight and under what rules, PrideFC ring, PrideFC rules Wanderlei would probably be able to takedown Chuck and use knees and stomps, and in the UFC octagon under UFC rules Chuck would use the cage to stand up and probably knock out Wandy.
