Adobe reader is used to read PDF files that are usually used for reading documentation, like Microsoft Word but you cant edit files... you may have gotten it from installing something

it is not harmful, and i would suggest leaving it on your computer in case you need to use it in the future

The Adobe Reader is a free-to-all downloadable program which lets us read PDF files. It doesn't hurt your computer in any way, it is not a large program, and I imagine almost all of us have downloaded it.

You can print the PDF file or save it to disk. It will save in PDF format.

To convert a PDF file to Word, you would have to buy a PDF Converter. (free trial at www.docsmartz.com)
