Done that before! It often happens if you do not do the "time" right, or you have very dark hair and are wanting it MUCH lighter in color by dying it. First off, you can always call the manufacturer (they have hot line numbers on the sides of the box you purchased as well as on the instruction paper you hopefully used when dying your hair). Secondly, you can re-dye it. If you are going for a more dramatic hair color (dark to light) then it may take more time to "bleach". If the time is not right, the color won't be either. Most hair-coloring boxes have 3-4 "if your hair color is like this [picture], then your color will look like this [picture]". You often need to just leave it on longer than it may state at the beginning of the instructions. BUT.. if you read all the way through, it more than likely says (leave on for 5-10-15-20 minutes longer for darker hair). Thirdly, you can always try to dye it back to a similiar color that is closest to the natural shade of your color. Unfortunately, it is not recommended that you re-dye hair in the same week. But if you don't do it often, perhaps a double-shot of coloring/bleaching is the answer. Then wait for someone to help who knows a bit about hair-coloring. Last, go to a salon. It's usually about 40-120 dollars for a "professional" coloring. Good luck... Hope this helps!!

you need professional help with this one. You can either re -pigment with red then cover with brown or mid to dark blonde. Use a cleansing shampoo first assome lightners continue to process on the hair after you have washed them out for days after. Or you can put a violet toner on to take out the orange. I would opt for the first. Do NOT put any colour on unless you re- pigment first or it might go green esp if you use a ash tone. Whatever you do is going to involve useing more chemicals and will not be good for your hair therefore you will need to conditione the hair regularly. A hairdresser will first test the elasticity of the hair to make sure it is strong enough to take any more processing.

Can i be the first to laugh at you LOL,

Calling a good hair salon in your neighborhood should yield the name and number of a good haircolorist. Remember don’t skimp at this moment . . . remortgage the house if necessary when you have a hair color emergency. Pay whatever it takes to get the very best talent, you’ll not regret it.

and ware a hat if you go out.

dont try to dye it as you will mess your hair even more (might go green)

Rebleach to lift the orange out and then apply toner in the colour you require or go to a hair salon.

Or just dye with a dark permanent colour

buy a toner that will even out the colour, u might have to go for a dark blonde colour. i mean u could risk bleaching it again but if u dont know wot ur doing, it could really damage ur hair and go white. best thing is the toner shade if not u might have to just dye it dark, but the toner should do the trick.

I agree - dye it again but this time - go to a professional hair colorist. It may be a little pricey, but they can help prevent you from ending up with an even worse shade when you dye over the yellow/orange!

You will have to go in somewhere and get prof. help.
They are going to have to strip all the color out of your hair.
It will dry your hair out something feirce too,but at least you will be able to go in public again.
Next time just go in and have it done.
