The verse below is very clear about the Messiah being directly related to David (from your own body). The link to David that the New Testament establishes is through his father Joseph. But according to the new Testament, Jesus was conceived of a Virgin, meaning that there is no blood relationship between Jesus and Joseph. How do Christians get through that theologically?
2 Samuel 7:12-13 (New International Version)
12 When your days are over and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, who will come from your own body, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

Mary was also descended from David. Jews were forbidden to marry outside of their own tribe.

We get through that theologically because it's Mary that is the descendent that relates Jesus to the line of David, not Jesus' step father, Joseph.

Marriage is the only setting for children! Mother, father child/children. Nature, the Finger of GOD, requires a family setting for children.
Should GOD have set the example of unmarried, single parent as the ideal setting for children? Does not Nature, require both
mother and father in order to raise an emotionally stable child?
Doesn't it take BOTH parents to create a family?
The Bible insists on family - Mother&Father as the institution required for chldren.
Joseph is required to build/establish the family setting into which
Jesus is born.
Christian faith is about Jesus, His call to LOVE everyone, even those like yourself, who try to cause decision among the peoples.
Christianinty calls for respect of all peoples (Love thy neighbor)
It does not support abuse of the female as do so many others!
Denial of education, kill if the male feels insulted, masks over the face, imprisoned without freedom of movement except when allowed by the male. All rules, made up by males that want to abuse the female sexually by force! They consider themselves above the female, but they cannot get here without her!
Christians do not use their females for Bombs, they have not written school books that lie about YOUR faith! They do not blow
up airplanes, ships and trains filled with men, women, children, babies while hiding behind maskes.

Blood relation is not important, the importance is divine relation. The Christians revere Joseph and Maria, but they worship the Father in heaven, the One True God, the Creator and Sustainer of all worlds and all cretures.

I don't know of anyone who worships Joseph. Joseph's ansestors as well as Mary's are listed in the Bible and they both go back to David, being related to him.

True Christians do not worship Jesus. They worship the same God Jesus worships--Jehovah. (Ps. 83:18; John 20:17)
