Of course it's fair. He has a right to choose. So do you, right?
All it means is that he's not THE ONE for you. It feels sad, and that's natural, because in effect you feel you lost your boyfriend. But the good news is, now you're free to make friends with other guys. And you are young with many years ahead of you, and there are millions of guys out there who are really nice and who will appreciate you and want to PICK YOU. Be patient, don't settle for a jerk and be on the lookout for that really nice guy who thinks you/re the greatest.

I don't understand why he had to pick you over your "friend" and at this point I would not call her a friend. No it was not fair and that is why you should find a better boyfriend and friend!!

Do the two of you think it was fair to make him choose between two best friends? Do you think it was fair to either of you ladies to put yourselves out there like cattle for some man to pick one of you over the other? Smarten up girly! I think you won by not being the chosen one! You want to be with someone who wants you for you ... not because he thinks its fun to play games and break hearts!

Why did he have to pick? dating is a game, but not to be taken that literally. Besides if there is 2 people involved someone has to lose out. I think you should ask yourself why he "picked" your friend over you & go from there.

No. I'ts awful that he did that. U probably don't wanna be with someone like that and it's better that he walked away sooner than later. You have a good attitude about your friend, but that's still a real sticky situation....i dunno details but whatever goes down, just be honest and trust your instinct and keep your chin up - there are plenty of fish in the sea! :)

Sweetheart, let me put it this way. If this guy had to choose a girlfriend, then you got the better deal!! If he was serious in the first place he would not have had to choose! You would have been the only one. Thank your lucky stars and keep your eyes open for someone who DESERVES you!

It all depends on the relationship that you have with him. Were you just friends or was it something more and same with your friend... were they just friends or was he more then friends with her. He sounds like he was cheating on both of you. I think you need to find another guy. He doesn't sound like any one that would be reliable as a boyfriend any way.

You should be upset, you allowed someone to make a decision for you that you could've made yourself. Apparantly he wasn't your real boyfriend if he was told to pick. This does't make any sense.
