I have naturally loose, curly, wavy hair that gets poofy as it air dries, or after i blow dry it it looks like one of those poofy pomeranian dogs.lol. I was looking on Folica.com and ebay and some other sites to find a good ceramic flat iron but i read all the reviews and im still undecided. Do any of you know which one is the best for me and will not make my hair frizz if I go out and its humid and raining? Also one that will keep my hair nice and shiny?

Use an ionic flat iron. It will not curl back easly.
Solia makes a Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Flat Iron.
According to the Solia flat iron website, "tourmaline,
a precious stone, is used to generate up to 6 times more
negative ions than traditional ceramic irons".

I use the 2" barrel Chi straightening iron! It's amazing! It is ceramic and does the job quick. It has a switch where you can choose your prefered temperature up to 360 degrees. I have frizzy hair too, and it definately gets the job done! Give it a try, I guaruntee you won't regret it!
Also, if your hair gets poofier as it dries (that's my problem), I recomend Sunsilk Anti-Poof shampoo/conditioner/24-7 creme! It's a product line made expecially for people who's hair gets poofy as it dries! It actually says it right on the bottle. I had my doubts at first, but I bought it and now I'm hooked!
Good luck,
Christi

If money isn't an issue, and your hair is normally difficult to straighten, the a Chi is the best iron out there.
If your hair can straighten fairly easily (with a blowdryer and a brush) then you may not need to spend all that money, just make sure the iron you purchase has a heat control dial on it, and ceramic is best so your hair will glide more easily.
I personally just use ceramix. My hair can be b/d straight, but also frizzes if I let it dry on it's own.
Good Luck :)

Hi there! Flat irons? I've been using it before but For me it's only a waste of time. Why won't you try to go to a hair salon and have it straight by hair rebonding but the thing is you've got to have a maintenance like hair spa at least once a month to make your hair look healthy and shiny then to retouch it if your hair grows already. It can make you spend a li'l bit more but if it can make you feel good with your hair that is already straight, nice and shiny... I guess it's worth it. Anyways, Good luck... (- -,)

I have tried the expensive flat irons and my favorite flat iron is the Wet To Straight by Remington. You can buy it at Walmart for like 20 bucks. Then after you flat iron it is best to use a frizz reducer like Matrix super skinny.

I use the FHI flat iron - it is great! But about the humidity - I am not sure that you can do anything about it.
