I AGREE!! I can't stand it. Even IF the dog is friendly there are so many reasons to keep your dog leashed at all times. It is the law, what if the dog it runs up to a dog that doesn't like other dogs, children don't always know the proper way to react a to a dog, and therefore could ge bit if it hurts the dog on accident. And not to mention that the dog could run off if it sees a rabbit or gets on a sniffing trail and end up in the road and get hit by a car. I cringe when i see people walking their dog without a leash.
I think people ignore the leash laws becaue they think they have the perfect pet. They think, oh, my pet will never run off (this is so wierd to me when beagle owners say this, or any other hound owners for that matter). Or they KNOW their dog would never bite a child, or fight with another dog. But this doesn't mean the child knows how to react to a dog, or that the other dog is not dog aggressive. It is like parents who think their child is perfect, and that EVERYONE wants to see their child and talk to their child. I don't like kids, i don't want kids touching me. It is the same with dogs. I don't want your dog to run up to me without a leash. And not everybody loves dogs. I wish i could talk some sense into them, but i think some people, no matter what, still think their dog is perfect, and that nothing will happen from letting them walk off leash.

I agree completely. The other thing that pisses me off is when your dog is on a leash minding his own business and another unleashed dog comes running and gets right in it's face. The leashed dog snaps or worse bites the unleashed dog and then everyone is crying about the poor dog that got bit. And how bad the dog that did the biting is! I have seen this happen so many times in dog parks.
KEEP YOUR DOG ON A LEASH and be responsible for your own pet!!! Not everyone wants or likes your dogs coming out of no where and getting in their face! If you can't do this then go to an off leash park.

This is something you need to bring to the park boards attention.. i agree that everyone thinks their dog is the best, but the law is the law.. and those people that let their dogs run free.. how would they feel if a really mean free running dog came up and attacked their free running dog? hurting it badly? I dont think they would like it. I admire you for following the rules even though most dont.

Everybody thinks their dog is the best and listens so no need for a leash. How about the lady I saw that tied her dog to the sign that said no dogs beyond this point. Amazing how stupid people survive in this world.

this drives me NUTS! i own a pit bull, and he absolutely loves dogs. thing is, a lot of pit bulls DON'T like other dogs, not even a little. i know people with dog aggressive pits, who are very responsible and always keep their dog leashed and in control. problem is, if they are out walking their dog and some idiots offleash dog comes running up and ends up hurt in a fight, who will get the blame? the pit bull! some people just don't understand that just because their dog is friendly that doesn't mean everyone elses is!!

Drives me crazy, too! Our dog was attacked by my neighbor's dogs who were unleashed. My neighbor was taken completely by surprise----"They never attacked anyone before!" Well, too bad there had to be a first time. It wouldn't have happened if he had obeyed the law and kept his dogs leashed.

The thing is that if you really cared about your dog (no offense) you wouldnt care. Dogs love to play with other ones, but if you dislike it, dont report the person just let them know. They will handle it pretty good. I just went to the park the other day where my dog was off the leash and he played with other dogs. The owner did not care. People these days keep there dogs off the leash because the dogs get more energy out of them selves. If your dog is off the leash he gets more energy away, then if he were to be on the leash!

It is a dangerous combination, especially if you add a child to the mix. Some people just don't get it, no matter what. Stupid people bother me. I wonder if there's a community officer who will enforce this that you can call?? Good luck!

think of with regard to the undesirable newborn: that is "mom" is a woman who had to be a guy, yet in addition had to be a woman -evidenced by potential of the reality that the uterus and ovaries weren't bumped off and by potential of the reality that he/she replaced into the only to be inseminated, no longer the different substantial different. You gotta admit, this occasion is extra advantageous than in basic terms slightly strange ...
