I see a lot of girls nowadays claiming to be women, and wanting a real man .. or complaining about the lack of real men.

but can any girl be a woman ... is it age .. maturity ... ?

are you one just because you think you are .. ?

is it how you carry yourself ...?

is it when you stop fainting at rock concerts .. or what ..?

Make no mistake, I am a woman, and all woman.

Part of what makes me sure of this is the differences between me and men. Some females want to think, and want you to think that they are equal in every respect, deserve the exact same treatment and own the same feelings, goals and responsibilities as a man.

I find the differences charming and desirable. When you kiss me I want to know we are different. I want you to be in control, to be stronger and I want to feel it. When I feel weak I want you to lift me up, offer me your strength, and not take advantage of my submissive nature. I want to know that you want me and that no one but a real woman can satisfy your desire. I'm that woman.

You will know the difference between me and a "girl" in that I am submissive to you if you can be dominant with authority that always takes my best interests into consideration. A child, or immature "wannabe" woman would not trust you as I will. She also will want to own you, want to tease you and never deliver and she will try to confuse you, make you jealous.

As a real woman, I don't play games. I don't need your life, I have my own. I don't need your money nor do I neccessarily need a committment from you. I will not use you nor will I allow anyone to use me. I play only with adult men and what is acceptable between us is always the bottom line.

You will know I am a woman because I have bothered to learn what I can about you. I know that men are visual creatures. I will not have to be perfect to behold, but you will look. You like to watch and your eyes will follow me wherever I go, whatever I do. You want shelter. You have the world on your shoulders at times and if I am your chosen woman I will put myself between you and the world when you are weary. I am your refuge, where you hide to recovery from injury, fear and the abuse of the world. Little girls cannot offer that.

As a real woman I understand that your ego is fragile at times. You need me to show you in all that I do, all that I say, that you are a good provider, a satisfying lover and a decent man. If I care for you, I will never let you forget these things.

A real woman will accept you for whatever you have made of yourself, listen to your dreams, hear your sadness and encourage you to move forward.

I can only be a real woman in the presence of a real man. Only when the differences are pronounced do I become more than a human being, but the best in the female gender. Little boys do not bring out the woman in me. Only good men make me an even better woman.

So, it's you who make me the best of all females. The real women of the world are easy to spot, graceful to behold and heaven in your arms, and you will never mistake us for little girls.

Any woman who complains about wanting a "real" man is an f-ing retard. Maybe if they stopped complaining and started dealing with their own issues, men wouldn't find them so annoying. I'm a woman because I have the parts and that's how my parents raised me. The crossover from girl to woman is different for everyone. I'd say it happened to me sometime in college, although I can't pinpoint.

LOL- nice. I think there is a difference between a woman and a lady. Factors do include how one carries herself. Her confidence, her attitude towards others. Is she a good listener, does she care for others. Does she have goals in life. Did she hook up for love or for money!? I think there are females out there that will never be a real woman. Like Paris Hilton and her dumb friends.

When you stop worrying about what others will think of you if you act a certain way and start being true to yourself. So yeah, it needs a certain amount of maturity and also the ability to rise above the things that try to bring you down.

Phenomenal Woman

Maya Angelou couldn't have said it better. This is what makes me a woman; phenomenal at that.

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It's the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say,
It's in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman

Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It's in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.
