When you really care about a guy. He has stated that he cares for you. But he is depressed. So he pulls away and you inform him that you need to move on. So he says..."if that's what you want to do." He states that he can not handle a relationship at the time but at the same time seems like he wants me to hang around.

Yes.. we were sexually active and that was not a problem. HE is the one that has stopped that. Says he enjoys it very much with me..."But doesnt want to mess with my head". I still want and have offfered the sex....

It sounds like you already know why: he's depressed. So no matter how much he wants you around, he can't handle a relationship right now. The worst part is, he may really need a relationship, but he won't have anything to offer a woman. You might decide to hang around and see if he comes out of it, but think twice, because you'll be doing all the heavy-lifting of the relationship until he gets well, which can take a long time.
