If you have fever and a sore throat along with the enlarged tonsils
you have an infection that needs treatment. Some people have naturally large tonsils without infection. If they are so large they interfere with breathing especially during sleep they should probably be removed

Usually when my throat/tonsils look or feel swollen, it really hurts back there. I usually made a cup of tea and put sugar, honey, and milk in it... it tastes great and it makes your throat feel sooo much better. My fav teas for this: Sleepytime Tea, Peppermint,.... really anything minty.

Go to the doctor to get on an antibiotic. That's the only way to get well. Also, take all the medication prescribed even though you feel better.
