oh gosh... too many ways. Dressing nice is obvious, but usually the tighter their clothes are in general, the more gay they are. Gay guys tend to comment a lot on other people's appearances, good & bad, like: "Ohhh, would you look at that tragic shirt on herrrr...", or, "Ahhh, don't you think he looks cute in that? do you think that would look cute on me?". Straight men (in general) rarely do this unless you ask them their opinion on something specific. One thing other than their appearance is the way they talk. They tend to use the word 'like' a lot, & there's a certain inflection in their voice in general that gives it away, no matter how high or low it is, or how much they're trying to hide it, or not hide it. If you're potentially attracted to someone who you question may or may not be gay, if they are really friendly to you in a girlfriend kind of way, that's a dead giveaway. Not that straight men can't be nice, but they're nice in other ways that I can tell. Sometimes the music they listen to is a dead giveaway... if there's a LOT of dance music (Cher, Madonna, need I say more!!), & I'm not talking about Euro-"gay" (PLENTY of straight people like that kind of music), hehe, then yah. I could go on, but that's what I thought of off the top of my head.

Gay men come in all varieties - from the obvious to the "are you sure you're gay". Ask him what type of women he likes. If he is out then he'll tell you the truth and if not then look for the most, in my opinion, reliable sign - see if he checks guys out. If you have the guts ask him if he is gay/
