Anything cardio! Unfortunately (and I know you don't want to hear this) we humans don't get to choose where we loose fat. We can only choose where we want to build muscle. The best way to get your body to burn off fat is to feed it less fatty causing stuff (sugar mostly) and tell it to get in gear with some cardio. I recommend a variety of things... walking/jogging, biking...
Cardio is anything that is repetitive that keeps your heart rate up.

Do 20 minutes of varying cardio exercises a day and you will loose weight fast. Make sure to vary your exercises because eventually you will plateau, and you won't be getting anything out of the exercise.

Good luck!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

it is a scientific fact that one cannot spot reduce - meaning there is no exercise that will reduce only stomach & hips.

try 40 minutes (or more) of cardio exercise - like a brisk walk, running, stair climbing, etc... - every other day and in between do a stretching or conditioning exercise like yoga or free weight training. remember - pull in your abdomin while doing any exercise to insure that those muscles tone and devlop flat and not "pooched-out."

at the same time, reduce your portion size at each meal. do one or two portions meat (4 oz. is the correct amount for a meat portion), 5 portions whole grains, 3-5 portions each fruits & veg. drink only water - no sodas, as their sweetness (even artificial) only makes you eat more and the sodium they contain causes you to retain water; and no juices - too many calories, not enought nutritional value.

You can reduce fat from your stomach and hips by doing aerobic exercises. During activities like swimming, rowing and walking, enough oxygen is supplied to the body to burn fat. More information available at http://www.toloseweight.org/losestomachfat.html

Exercise 1: Lie down (face down). Both hands on your sides in straight position. Then, lift your chin upwards and remain for 3 counts; bring it down remain face down for 3 counts.
Execise 2: Lift your right leg slowly and remain in raised position for 3 counts. Then slowly bring it down and stay for 3 counts. Then do the same for the other leg.

Exercise 3. Raise both the legs simultaneously as far as posible and remain for 3 counts. Then bring them down slowly and remain for 3 counts.

REMEBER:
- Keep your eyes closed and keep your mind on the exercise throughout the exercise period
- The whole series of the exercises 5 time each for the first week;
- 10 times in the second week and 15 times in the third week and 20 times in the fourth week and continue so for 3 months.
You will see a marked change and enjoy the light weight of your body. All the Best.

Crunches are renoun for reducing abdominal area fat...(stomach) and bicycling for hip reduction, as well as, leg definition. See the source below...it is a 24/7 gym (at home workouts) available online...the membership fee is reasonable, too.

Walking is a good exercise to get your heart rate up and the blood to pumping. I'm quite sure you didn't get the "fat stomach and hips" overnight so be patient in getting rid of them. Get on a exercise routing and stick to it.

Aerobics, dance, running. Sit-ups and crunches may help you build muscle tone there but it won't really reduce fat. Keep your calorie intake down.
