Save the letter and notify the police for hate crime. If it has a return address show it to the police. The police will arrest this individual for hate crime. Come to the trial and testify.
Hope this helps

that is indeed a hate crime and I am sorry you have to deal with such a thing. Report this to the police and keep an eye out for possible persons that have showed hate towards you. That is horrid. For those of you on this board who are telling this person to get packing...how would you like it if you were in another country (as MANY Americans are) and you recieved hate mail? You may or may not get packing. What if you were stationed in an american military base and this letter was sent to you? Would you up and leave? Or you were the wife of a United States Ambassador staying in another country for a while when you recieve such a threat? As the proverb goes "put the shoe on the other foot."

I am assuming you are in the United States of America.
Are you an American citizen or in the country legally? If you are then I would take that as a threat and seek the law. If you are here illegally, then I would tell you the same thing...minus the 'before its too late' part.
I know several people who are in the long process of becoming legal citizens and for them to know that there are those here illegally with more rights than they have pisses them off. However, I love them for going through the process to become a citizen.

Do not be so sensitive. Just throw it in garbage. That is what I would do, I have been told that on my face to go back to my country. But it was said in anger, just relax. Good luck. BTW I am also an ex immigrant.

What is your country
It may have been too late before you got here in which case I am sure that international law dictates that the clock was never actually started so said event having already occured prior to written notification was not enforcable and therefore null and void, unless of course you are ruled by Islamic law then who knows!!!!

If you're in the U.S., stay here. If the letter is from your country, especially stay here (they won't let you back out.) If it is from a nut here in the U.S., report the incident and give them the letter for analysis. "Before it is too late" is a fairly clear threat, which itself is a misdemeanor.

absolutely contact the police - do not wait another minute! that is something that is completely unacceptable and should never happen. Do you know who would do such a thing to you?
