My daughter was taking around a 1 1/2 to a 2 hour nap around age two.

She's 3 1/2 now and she naps maybe 3-4 days a week now instead of everyday. She still will nap around 1 1/2 to 2 hours on the days she naps.

Little people need rest, their little bodies and minds are VERY busy !!!

I believe no naps after the age of 18-20 months. As long as the child can stay awake all day, theres no need for a nap. Also, with having no nap in the daytime, it makes it easier to put the child to bed at night and have them sleep through the night without waking up.

A 2 year old is still taking naps. At that age my little one took 2-3 hour naps. He's 3 now and he can still sleep a good 3 hours. They are busy little creatures in a tiny body. They need the rest. HTH, bye!

My son, who is now 3, took 2-3 hour naps up until like 2 weeks ago. Now he only sleeps like an hour and a half. But every kid is different. My friend's son quit taking naps around 20 mths.

It really depends on the day's activities.

If my son's been running around and playing and his eyes are getting red and he's rubbing them, it's nap time.

If he's not showing signs of tiredness, he skips the nap and just goes to bed early.

If he does go down for a nap, generally it's whenever he decides to wake up - but we tend to allow about 2 to 2.5 hours.
