Well people need something to make them feel superior to other animals although we're pretty much the same. Mammals build social groups humans do to. Mammals have Alpha females or males, human have appointed leaders. Mammals kill each other, humans do it also on a larger scale. Some animals can completely destroy their environment, and humans do that also. Mammals have sex, humans do to! But since some believe that God made us and animals have no soul then man must be above them and under God. Although I just pointed out how similar we are to other animals. In the end it comes down to always believing some one is there to watch you and if you die you go to a place were it's happy time forever! A lot of people need comfort and this thinking give them that! It makes them feel warm and fuzzy on the inside!!

Well even devils believe, but that is not going to save them, You must repent and turn from your sin,and sin nor more. Turn to God and ask Him to take possession of your life through Jesus Christ. You will then receive the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost will confirm who Jesus is, to you.That is what is required to be saved.
The hard part is to walk in His ways for the rest of your life, to overcome the whole world through the might of His Holy name Jesus. To forsake this world, in that you are not part of it,just in it.
You now at this time have nothing, all is God's nothing, but worship and praise, doing His will always, remains of the self.
Self dies and becomes Born again. This is like a Resurrection of the dead, and becomes the most important time in your life should you decide to take this mission.

I believe it is both important and necessary to a lot of people, because millions of people around the world base their daily lives around God and religion, sometimes to the point that it governs their life.
Everyone needs faith in something, be it God or themseves, because without it, then we wouldn't believe we could amount to much in the world, and chaos would govern our lives.

You know your going to die as flesh and blood right.
In the first ressurection you will either be ressurected and changed.
Or be dead another thousand yrs if your not already dead.
Thousand yrs of peace finally Jesus will be here on earth, with living people.
His saints will be the people that died in his name for his name or knowing and keeping his laws, and the people that are on the earth at time of his arrival. Change and will reign with Jesus.

Than comes second ressurection, time to go to court to answer for your life. Because it is your life that is on the line. Everyone who's ever lived and died will live again. According to the Holy Bible.
