the world ? The christian religious people have their book of revelation, and all their faith preachers on T.V.
How does a quran follower, if that is an appropriate way of wording it (sorry not sure what terminology to use), use to know to predict the future of mankind ?
Some eastern religions, I guess do not even worry about it, but - live in the present moment.
What does it say in the quran about this ?
What do genuine muslims think and feel the future holds for mankind while we are on earth, and after this life on earth ?
Thank You for your sincere answers. I am learning. Have downloaded a quran off the internet and have begun reading it, but must admit I have some difficulty understanding it.
Maybe it is the translation that came off the internet, I am not sure. But it was free.
Someone told me once to buy a
Abdullah Yusuf Ali Translation of the Quran !!
which will make it a little easier for me to understand. Where is it sold in San Diego Cal USA?

muslim believes that many things would happen at the end of the time b4 the day of judgement , like There are major and minor 'signs' that the Day of Judgment is coming. The 'Jibril' hadith mentions:
"When the slave-girl gives birth to her mistress and when desert Arabs compete with one another in building high rise buildings."
If we consider the hadiths with all the information we have on the signs pointing to the 'end times' we would find that we have more than a hundred signs to consider. Let us just consider one saying of the prophet (peace be upon him) where he refers to Constantinople and Rome falling to the Muslims. Constantinople fell some 800 years after the prophet (pbuh) predicted it, but Rome has hardly fallen to the Muslims. I am aware there is an Islamic Centre in Rome but this is hardly the same as the city coming under the Muslims.
Another hadith mentions the beast coming out of Mount Safa and speaking. Then, there is the question some people have as to whether the Dajjal(anti-christ) is a person or not? Based on the hadith where a believer will be cut in two and the Dajjal will walk between the two halves of the body, then the Dajjal will bring the two halves together by the permission of Allah, and the believer will be restored to life by the permission of Allah, it is difficult for me to see the Dajjal as any other than a person. I do not subscribe to the view of the 'materialistic eye' as being the one-eyed Dajjal.
the second comung of jesus (peace be upon him), the presence of mahdi.......etc. many signs.
here also ,Here are a few other signs of the Last Day, mentioned by the Prophet (pbuh):
1. Barefooted shepherds will compete in owning tall buildings
2. Wine (intoxicants) will be consumed in great quantities
3. Earthquakes will increase
4. Bloodshed will increase
5. Power will be in the hands of those who do not deserve it
6. Women will far outnumber men
7. Arabia will become a land of gardens and rivers
There are a number of other signs too that come right before the end of time like sunrise from the West and the discovery of talking animals.
Judgment day, however is something, which we will all come to know potentially very soon. As soon as you die, the Day of Judgment starts for you, and you could die at any moment. This should be our utmost concern. But this must not make us fail to seek good in this world. We should live for the next world as if we were going to die in the next moment, but we should also live for this world as though we were going to live forever.

i'ld like to make Note that the Quran was revealed to Muhammad in Arabic only. So, any Quranic translation, either in English or any other language, is neither a Quran, nor a version of the Quran, but rather it is only a translation of the meaning of the Quran. The Quran exists only in the Arabic in which it was revealed.
i gave u astar btw
good luck.

The end times ... According to Islam, this concept represents a time, near to Doomsday, when Qur’anic morality will come to prevail over all the world. The Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, has described it in considerable detail in the hadeeths, that is, his sayings. After the Prophet, a number of great Islamic scholars have given further accounts of the subject. All of these reveal that the end times will contain a number of consecutive events. In the first stage of the end times, the world will become degenerate because of a number of philosophical systems that deny God. Mankind will move away from the purpose behind its creation, leading to a terrible spiritual emptiness and moral collapse. In the wake of great disasters, wars and suffering, mankind will seek the answer to just one question ‘Where does salvation lie?’ At that very moment of despair, God will charge a “spiritual entity? to call mankind out of the chaos and onto the true path; The Mahdi. The word means “he who leads people to the truth. coming of dajjal(anti christ), gog and magog r also included
The Qur’an repeatedly tells us that those who believe and do righteous deeds will be greatly rewarded in the afterlife, while those who disbelieve and do bad deeds will be severely punished.
Belief in life after death gives meaning to our life, for it tells us that this life is only a test and preparation for an eternal life. Furthermore, we know that in the afterlife we will receive justice for all the wrongs we suffer here. It may seem that the sinful and corrupt are often happier or wealthier than the righteous, but that is only for a short time. In the afterlife they will get their due.
Belief in life after death encourages a person to lead a good life on earth, since he knows the fate that awaits him if he ignores the commands and warnings of Allah given in the Qur’an. In fact, belief in the afterlife is the strongest incentive for a person to lead a life of virtue here. The real road to a peaceful society can be paved only if people believe in an afterlife.

well, for Muslims prediction and fortune teller is not a good thing even if some of them came true---we should not pay attention to it or use it-------about the end of times --its some what close to the christian one ---but without the dramatic effect and all this fiction------
basically we believe in small signs and big signs -----the small signs like volcano's -earthquakes --no moral values---etc----and big signs like wars and more
but the most important part or difference is that could take 100 or 400 or even another 1000 years----we do not think like the Christians that it is with in 50 years ---i mean they been saying this since the 1800-------
we believe that Jesus will come back to earth to fight the fake Messiah and lead the Muslim army to defeat the fake Messiah ---

Well, we don't claim tob e able to predict the comming of the Day of Judgement, as only God knows when that will occur. What we do know is that in the Quran, God promises specific things to occur before the Day of Judgement, such as the return of Christ, the absence of faith in the hearts of the people, etc. Here is some reading material on the topic. I hope it helps you!

Islam says that this world is just like putting your finger in the ocean and see how much you took out of it comparing to the hereafter, this world is the market where we can bargain our hereafter, we work here to rip in the hereafter.

If Quran is only written in Arabic and only in arabic can you comprehend it, it sure is a religion for arabics only (don't argue).
If Muhammad needs to be given salute of "paece be to you" - it surely means" peaces be to a lost and sinful soul". yo someone who will never find peace. Islamic traditions prove Muhhamad is needing a lot of peace..
If adultery and child bride molestation is one of the greatest sin of Allah - he is at the bottom of the hottest peace lacking hell.
