Does anyone know about how much you get when claiming a baby and only made $1,000 in 2006? where could i find this info

EIC For one child @$1000 income is $349. plus of course any withholding if there was any.

It really depends on the state. I think you dont even have to file if it is under a certain amount because you would be considered to have no tax liability. I would try to check out your states tax page on the internet. To get the EIC you would only get a small portion of that money back with such a low income.

In Minnesota you get Earned income credit, Working family, daycare deductions, school credits, supplies credits, education expenses credits and so forth.

If your only income was $1,000, you have no tax liability. The baby might qualify you for the Earned Income Tax Credit, but with only $1,000 income it won't be a lot.
