Does God send to hell people who are of a different faith? For instance a Muslim who believes in Allah, even if this is the way he was raised and all that he knows. And if he has been exposed to Christianity in some form but chooses Islam because he is so deeply entrenched in that religion.

Some comments have stated that God will not send to Hell those who don't know, or don't know any better. I'm curious to understand what happens to others who have minimal contact with Christianity but believe in other Gods. What of them?

I ask because it is hard for people to embrace a new religious belief when they have held another one for so long, so I am wondering if they are punished for this. I imagine it's hard to have "faith" in a new God when you have always had "faith" in another one.

What does your intuition say about this. If you think it would be ridiculous to punish someone for following what they think is right, then the all knowing God has probably caught on to that also. Remember that a lot of the Christian belief systems are based on how PEOPLE have interpreted God's communications with us, and not necessarily on the actual communication in its pure form. God gave us a brain and a conscience for a reason, so that we can sort out the truth for ourselves. If we tried to follow every religion that said they had the only truth, we would be running in circles our whole lives and getting no where. You already know what feels true to you or you wouldn't be asking this question exactly the way you did.

The only way to Heaven is through the blood of Jesus Christ.
For God so love the world that He gave in only begotten son that whosever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 There are numerous scriptures in the bible to support this.
The devil is the great deceiver. He would want you to believe that as long as you're good and or believe in some religion that you will go to heaven.
There is a spiritual war going on and the devil is using everything he can to confuse and decieve people so they want go to heaven.
He is going down and he wants to take as many of us as he can down with him.

All man kind will be judged,God would never send a righteous man to Hell. No Christians would ever tell you that, ever. For the righteous will inherit the earth. Jews are not Christian, and either are Muslims, they will be judged though. Those who have the testimony of Jesus Christ are passed from judgment into Heaven. Every one else will be judged.

This is a touchy subject that many people believe as fact without actually looking up the Bible. The truth is God does not send anyone to hell because of what they did, what they said, what they believed, color, creed or faith. God has a chosen people, you might think and say Israel, your right but thats thinking in the old pact.

God's chosen people are a group that he pre-destined before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4-5). Now these people that God pre-destined are not special for any other reason except for that fact that God just wanted those people. Now I want to make this clear that these chosen people are not a race, color, etc.

God chose His remnant before the foundation of the world, now what does this mean. This means He chose before anyone was alive, before anyone could do anything, and before anyone could even think anything. So God chose as He pleased. In the book of Romans 9:10-18 speaks of an old testament shadow of the future promise (for everything in the old testament was a shadow of what was to come.) God had loved Jacob, and hated Esau before birth. They had done nothing, but they were already labeled by God. God goes on to say in verse 15 " I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." And furthermore in verse 16 to say " It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy."

So to answer your question in short, not one of God's children will ever go to hell. If they are God's children, regardless of how they live their life, God's grace is so big and wonderful that we will see them in heaven.

Because " It does not, therefore, depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy."

See the mercy, in the mighty, hand of God.~Chris Tomlin "See The Morning"

We all have a will. Either we "will" hear and receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ or we "will" reject it. Most people believe that they can go to Heaven based on good works, but to God our works is as of filthy rags. Because of sin (ex: inherited disease to all mankind) we are in need of a Savior, and that Savior is Jesus Christ. He is the "ONLY" One to sacrifice His life and die for the sins of mankind. He is the sinless Son of God. The perfect sacrifice, and because He is perfect and that He died for us, if we confess and believe that He died on the cross for us and rose from the grave on the 3rd day appearing to many after His death we know can have a relationship with God. Because now when God see's us (if we have accepted His Son into our hearts) He see's His Son Jesus. Because of the blood that Jesus shed for us, we are now justified in God's eyes. If we don't receive Him, it's our choice and that individual's destination will be Hell (whether they believe in it or not). Every person that has an understanding between right and wrong will have the opportunity to accpet or reject Jesus Christ. Which do you choose? Do you choose His unconditional Love for you or do you choose to believe a lie?

God is not willing that any should perish.
Jesus Christ became humanity and paid the price for sins.
Every sin was imputed to Him and judged on the Cross.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.
By grace are you saved through faith, it is a GIFT of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.
Please think about the GIFT.
Peace out.

according to the BIBLE
ONLY those who Except & believe JESUS died for Our sins and rose again, and except Him in our Hearts. those who have JESUS will go to Heaven,

as Christians we are to teach and tell the world about JESUS and His love for US, and admit our sins, & pray for one another to be saved, being saved meaning Praying & asking God to forgive from sin and excepted and believing HE died and rose again for u. He give us free gift of eternal life in Heaven. and forgiveness from our sins . and heals US too

so yes according to the BIBLE those who dont worship JESUS ( GOD)
will go to Hell
He Loves US and doesnt want to send us to Hell
which is why he gives us a choice or freedom to choose your God to worship. YOU can Not go to Heaven if dont have or Believe in JESUS or repented from your sins.
