I rear-ended someone and they weren't sure there was any real damage to their car (just a few small scratches). There was more damage to my car, but I only had liability for my car, so I have no reason to call my insurance company for that. And at the time of the accident the people I hit said they weren't sure they were going to have to notify my insurance or not since there didn’t seem to be any real damage to their car. Will I be in trouble with my insurance company if the person I hit contacts them to make a claim and I haven’t called them to report the accident? I can’t imagine I would, but then I don’t want my rates to go up on an accident that my insurance company may never find out about. Can anyone offer me any help?

You shouldn't have a problem. I would tell the other party to call you and settle without the insurance co. If they do call the insurance co then they will call you to take a statement and ask why you didnt report it. Just tell them that you both agreed that there was no damage and decided not to go through insurance.
If I were you I wouldnt tell the insurance co because it will go on file as a claim whether or not a claim actually arises.

Depends on car insurance company, some the rates will go up less if you inform the insurance company, it will go up higher if the person you hit contacts the company.

It doesn't matter who reports to the insurance company first. You will not be penalized for informing them if the other party involved calls them first.

If your insurance clause does not cover the type of damages incurred they will basically tell you "thanks and have a nice day". Why involve them if they can't help you. Accidents aren't illegal, just unfortunate.

there are various agencies that don't enable a private automobile coverage to be pushed for pizza delivery using fact the possibility will improve dramatically. once you notify your corporation corporation, be arranged for the two a cancellation of that coverage or a extreme possibility, corporation classification to be placed on the coverage.
