No not the best in the world, we have some very good boxers at the moment but don't have the general high standard of talent that america has but at the same time its a bigger country etc so thats likely to always be the case. The three major champions we do have Hatton, Woods and Calzaghe are all probably the best at there weight classes right now, and we have plenty of other good fighters and contenders such as Junior Witter, Enzo Macrenelli, Alex Auther, David Haye and a few others. So not the best in the world but for a small Island we are doing pretty good right now.

We seem to be improving over time, but with the big purses being held in the States and the TV bodies SEEMINGLY unwilling to let that money go elsewhere, the centre of boxing will be the USA. As to their quality of boxers, as usual they seem to centre around the big purse divisions, and why not I wouldn't put a pair of gloves on, but I love the sport.
The lighter divisions seem to be split with Central America and the Far East dominating.
Britain has always had its place in the boxing arena and the light seems to be shining a wee bit brighter.
As for Hatton as some have said being overrated why have American boxers steered clear of unification fights, or is that done to their agents?
Patriotism is good but facts speak clearer.

British boxing the best? Sheeh, look at the way Michael Hunter got mashed up by Steve Molitor. Hunter is a big cheese on the domestic scene, but when he stepped up to the World class to take on Molitor, Hunter was cruelly exposed.
Hunter just gets fed a bunch of no hopers to make him look destructive. Yet in the meantime, Molitor doesn't have a fight for a year, but spars with ERIK MORALES. Hunter was out of his depth, and it showed.

No because you all end up in America. Hatton is overrated. Good. But not great.

you my friend are an idiot. Fatton is a joke, Woods eh!! Americans are and will always be the greatest boxers, Mexico is a close second and than it's everyone else, now if your talking about which is a up and coming boxing power, i gotta say Armenia, they really are producing a few really good names but obviously if your not a fight fan you wont know who they are.

Simply put... NO..
Russia right now is dominating the heavyweight division
Mexico (excluding Paquio(sp)) dominates the smallest weight classes
The United States dominates anything and everything in between.
