He KNEW the beans were magic and he swapped them for a bloody COW! Why would someone do that???

For the less bright amonst you all, the "he" I am referring to is the man who swapped the beans with Jack for the cow. I didn't realise I would have to explain this when asking a silly question but obviously there are some under tens on here and I should have allowed for that possibility.

Don't be daft people above me - the person is asking why the guy who gave Jack the beans would give them up in exchange for a cow. Come on, switch those brains on.
I suggest that either he needed a cow for some unstated person or it was some sort of fairy godmother (would fit in with fairytale format) who wanted to help Jack out without revealing themselves. Or they were just stupid

Maybe Jack believing as much as he did made them magical, afterall it was a fairtytale. Could be he was trying to hoodwink old Jack but the beans were really magic, or maybe he was chicken sh*t and knew he couldn't beat the giant to get at all the treasure up there so he said 4 get it. And he settled for some burgers..... What do you think??????

i don't know why anyone would do that, and i'm not sure anybody actually has. It was the other way around, and even that was in a fairytale
