Three man is the best. Use two dice. Sit at table (circle preferably). Take turns rolling. (Due to massive drinking in this game, beer is suggested) If you get a 3 on one of the dice you become first three man and game begins. Any time a 3 is rolled 3 man drinks 1 drink(swallow). this also applies if a 2 and 1 are rolled together. If you roll doubles you can pass them out to 2 people or both to one. If passed to 2 they roll their dice and drink the amount of drinks that the other one rolled. if 1 person rolls they drink the combined amount of drinks. If both dice have same value, then they don't have to drink. The dice go back to person who passed them out, and they must roll and drink double the drinks. Threes on passed out dice do not make 3 man drink.
If a 11 is rolled person to the right of roller drinks. 7 is a drink to the left of roller. 10 is a social; everyone takes a drink. The 3 man can only stop being 3 man by rolling a 3 himself. Then he can pass 3 man to any one else.
Now the fun part. If someone rolls 6 in a row that makes someone drink, he can make a drinking rule. The rule cannot single one person out. It must be a rule anyone can drink from. Example rules... Can't say drink drank or drunk. Thumbmaster. He declares himself thumbmaster and at any time can put his thumb on the table. Last one to put their thumb on table drinks. Question master: If you answer a question from them they can instruct you to drink. Drinking with right or left hand. Anyone caught drinking with incorrect hand drinks. Double drinks. Every drink is doubled. Any rule can be cancelled if one wants to use their rule for that. The game is over when you are out of beer or someone dies. Or the girls start taking off their clothes. almost forgot if you do not roll either a 3 or sum of 3, 7, 10, 11, or doubles you must pass turn to next player. If you roll double 5's it is a social AND you pass the doubles out. These rules have been modified through the years and this is the best way the game is played. No rule can add values to rolled dice. eg you can't make a rule that says if you roll a 1 every one has to switch beers to the right, or if double 2 are rolled mike drinks. Some people play that a double six is a waterfall. That's where the every one starts drinking together then after roller stops the next can stop and the others can't stop til the one in front of them stops. bla bla. Not necessary. This game has enough drinking without waterfalls. Usually that just makes every one have to get new beers. Waste of time so we cut that rule. We also make three man get beers for everyone.

Of course to properly answer this question i would have to know how many players, how drunk they wanna get, and what your drinking... Most of the games i know i couldn't really explain it well enough in the time i want to spend answering this question, so just go here and look at a decent collection of choices http://www.webtender.com/handbook/games/caps.game

There is a real good board drinking game called chug a lug.

beer pong-finally got to play it two weekends ago

the best one?-probably going to the local bar and trying to beat our last record for shots in a night while retaining enough composure to walk out under our own power.
