This technology has really never taken off, I feel like the the people who bought into Beta-Max instead of VHS.
Everytime I have pictures on my Fujifilm camera I can never find anyone with a compatible reader device to export them to.

yes xD really hasn't taken off like SD has. My recommendation?
Buy a small xD / usb reader and carry it along with you.

Not a big deal.

firstly- the cameras come with a USB cable- so you don't even need a reader.
Secondly- you can easily and cheaply get an xD capable reader.
Thirdly- Fuji makes some of the best cameras on the market today.
fourthly- xD cards aren't really that much more than SD cards. You get one, put it in your camera, and it stays there for the life of the camera.

So- don't feel dumb. You've got a great camera at a great price.

no, but its better than buying D cell batterries for a tv remote that uses tripple A. or a lawnmower battery for a ford f350
