I work 7a.m.-5p.m. The only break in between is a lunch hour spent running my husband to work (we only have one car). He then works 1:30-9:30 and I have a time frame of about 5:30-9:00 where I could walk dogs.
Is anyone out there in this business? Any luck with evening walks? What do I need to do to get started.
Please reply if you have experience.

I guess it depends upon your town. I'm sorry but I am not an experienced dog walker. I do, however, have a neighbor that uses a "dog walker" to help him take care of his dog. He found her through referrals -- hence, it depends upon your town and how people use dog walking services. You can try posting on community boards, at the library, or with your local Petsmart or Pet Food Express or other pet food store. Contact the SPCA or a similar shelter to see if they have either a need for walkers or if they know of a business that needs more walkers. Good luck! I think that it would be a fun thing to do!

I'm sure there is business out there if you live in a city. I live in a smaller town and no one would pay to have their dog walked here. But any big city with a larger population could be a possibility. Put out an ad in as many paper as you can and see if you get any calls. If you do then you would probably need dog food and collars and leashes. Good Luck with it! and hopefully you and your husband will eventually find jobs that will leave you more time together.
