hi,
go for it. they say that opposites attract right. and the two of you sound as if you are that kind. what can one date hurt. you will find out if you really like him or just want him for a friend. and you might gain a boyfriend.

My experience has been that a human really does not know who would be the "perfect match" for her or him. I'm unsure there even is such a thing. Thus, what really makes a match "perfect" is the decision by both people to keep the relationship and not do anything to end it.
Thus, you are courted by a gentleman who like you and whom you like. You say that you're afraid that it might not work out. I hear a touch of fear that it might work out very well. I believe you when you say you're "more of the wild child" and a committed relationship would end that effort at independence. It would also end your efforts at loneliness. I think it's a net profit. And you already know and like the person, so you have that part of starting a relationship that you needn't hassle with.
The difficulty is that thought at the back of your head whining about maybe "doing better." You really do have to choose between happiness and adventure. The reason most people choose happiness is that it lasts longer than adventure, is more rewarding, and more fulfilling.
And people find plenty of adventure in making a committed relationship work to the benefit of both.
So be wildly committed.

I would give it a shot! you guys could even eachother out! but let him know that you are willing to try, but if things dont work out, you dont want to loose him as a friend... express your concerns, but in the end, if you walk away from everything you get scared about, when do you live? You said that you are more of a wild child. TAKE THIS CHANCE!!

Take it easy, as you get to know your hunk, you may want to be nowhere other than by his side. Life is best enjoyed one step at a time.
