Hi, I have recently been diagnosed as Celiac, and I am concerned because some of my makeup and lotions contain wheat/gluten. Can anyone suggest any good GF makeup/body lotion? Or a website where I can find it?

Thanks to all that answered. I was under the impression that having lipstick that contained wheat could be harmful because it rubs off on what you eat. I will definately look into it further.

My daughter has Celiac, and has had great luck with Sephora cosmetics - the salespeople are knowledgable about their product, and can help you make your selections. Some Clinique is okay too, ask around until you find a salesperson who knows what they're talking about.

My wife has celiac and doesn't make any special adjustments to what products she puts on her skin. Gluten can not be absorbed through the skin.

Celiac is not an allergy. It is a disease. Your body/intestines are unable to process wheat gluten. So unless you are eating your makeup????

Symtoms of celiac disease occur due to consumption (eating) gluten-containing products. I am not aware of any patients who react to external gluten. Please ask your physician if he/she feels topical products will cause you problems.
