we have 1 cat. she will be 14 in july. when she was a kitten we were in the frontroom and heard a splash. she came running out from the bedroom. i went in and the water in the toilet was rippling. i checked the kitten, and her back paws and tail were wet. she has not gone near the toilet seat again..
we also play a game we call woof. i take my hand and do like someone would do to make a goose shadow on the wall. when i do it i say woof. one day we were playing woof, she was across the room, fuzzing her tail. all of a sudden up she came on her 2 hind paws, front paws up at the side of her head, running at me on her 2 hind paws. we laughed so hard, she got a funny look on her face like "you guys walk on two legs, why can't i?" she hasn't walked on 2 paws since and we didn't have a video camera.
her favorite treat is a mcdonald's cheeseburger. if it ain't mcdonald's AND cheeseburger, she won't eat it if you don't give her the pepperoni or green olive that she is looking at on your pizza, she takes matters into her own paws. she'll either lick that piece so you have to give it go her or steal it and run like hell

Well, I can't compete with the other stories.
I have always had cats, and they've rather found me than the other way around. Somehow we've found each other!
I have two now; it's always the way that we're together until death do us part. They're both girls. My darling large lady found her way here and has never left. She loves prawns, and her only concern is her stomach! My little one came as an unwanted kitten a couple of years ago, and now the two have reached an understanding - while Little Madam takes great pleasure in annoying Big Madam!
I've always felt such incredible love from those two little people. I can look in their eyes and wonder how scientists, etc, can't realise this. We have such a great time playing and loving that I can't imagine life without them. There's no scratching or bad behaviour: they're so good that they have to have treats to eat from time to time.
I also feel, without a doubt, that they are protecting me from any bad psychic influences.
I have never felt a moment's doubt that my cats are a great, good and loving influence on my life.

I have this kitten that I named Mozart but I call him Moe because he is a real stooge. He is a junk food junky (like me) and eats almost everything. Pickled asparagus, spicy potato chips, french fries, cardboard, dry pasta, green beans, olives, bread. He actually climbs the walls to get to a high place, finding all the places to put his claws so as to be a free climbing rock climber. He will jump up on the kitchen counter and call and paw at the faucet for me to turn on so he can get a drink. He has even learned to play fetch. He brings a plastic ball to me and drops it at my feet and I will pick it up and throw it for him to chase and bring back to me to do it again. He will bring me toys to show that he wants to play with me like a string on a stick. He is my best friend.

I have 5 cats! 3 indoors and 2 outdoors..
Mr. Mogo- He's a stray cat that comes to the house for food every morning and evening (canned and dry.. depends how he feels) sometimes he comes to the house with scratches and deep cuts, so we clean them and he rests at the house in a cardboard box for a few days and leaves.
Peaches- she's another stray cat that comes for food, but now she's a permanent resident at the house who lives outside with the dogs. Believe it or not, the dogs love her! Our dog searcher cuddles up next to her in the back room when it's cold to keep her warm. Phantom constantly cleans her. Remy pretty much ignores her at all costs. She stays with us all the time now because she was hit by a car, and i found her staggering to the front porch. I took her in, put her in a dog kenel inside of our kitchen and that's where she healed for a couple of weeks. She suffered broken ribs, chest/ breathing problems, and shock. Now she goes in and out of the house as she pleases to eat, drink, and use the kitty box if she wants.
Hailey- She's the "kitten" of the family. White body with various blobs of orange and grey. She's very attached to my mom who found her on the street. Her favorite toy is her 7 ft cat pole in the house. None of the other cats are allowed on it- her rules. and every time my mom and i get near it she runs to the top, flops down and expects you to play with you. she's not very graceful, but she sure is entertaining.
Billy- he's the only male cat in the family. My mom brought him home 7 years ago from an adoption agencey, shortly after my cat died. He's a big (not fat... tall, lean and muscular), orange cat, with an all white belly, with the exception of an orange spot right in the middle. he greets us (my mom and i) every day when we get home by jumping on the beds, rolling over, and giving a short meow. can cat food actually causes him to throw up, so he sticks with the dry kitty food. His best trick.. actually, bad habbit- if you bend over to pick something up he'll jump on your back. and if you dont push him off, he'll curl up in a big orange ball.
Sophie- my lil pride and joy. when she was 4 weeks old, she came right up to our front screen door and attacked our older cats through the door! she latched herself on the screen and hissed like a mad kitty. I went outside to pry her off but she retracted her claws and took off running. she looked like a little grey rat with white running across the street. i must have chased her for an hour before giving up. she came up to the house one more time after that, but got scared and ran into the neighbors backyard, who have 2 huge rotties! i called my neighbor and she chased the little kitten back toward me. So i caught her, put her inside of a dog kennel and tried so hard to find her a home, but no one wanted her because she was so small. after 3 days, i convinced my mom to let me keep her. and now she's my little princess who sleeps with me all night, cleans my face, and still latches herself to my blankets, leg... whatever she wants.
