She should apologize because her actions in some of the prison camps caused great harm to American soldiers being detained there.

She would have been hung as a traitor during world war II. I believe in freedom of speech but her actions went beyond freedom of speech.

Jane Fonda proved in the Vietnam war that she was a traitor and she backed the enemy. She never apologized for her actions and by apologizing I didn't thought then and now that all of her actions were in benefit of the American people, POW and the troops that were fighting in Vietnam. She was and she's still a traitor. I'm a Vietnam vet. and I know.

Doesn't matter. Apologizing for treason is like saying you're sorry to a corpse. It just doesn't matter, and it sure doesn't help.
Jane Fonda was and always be, in my opinion, a traitor. She gave aid to the enemy of the United States in a time of war, yet she was never brought to trial. In my opinion, this is one of the greatest travesties of justice of the 20th century.
Just the sight of her makes me wanna puke.

She made some excuse like she was just young and it was a very stupid thing to do. She was in her mid-thirties and she wasn't spreading "peace", she was advocating communism, so I agree she was stupid. Funny how the "apology" came out right before her book and come-back movie. Like I said, she should travel the country and apologize to Vietnam Vets in person and donate all of her money to local VA hospitals without one darn peep to the press. But don't hold your breath.

For all of you who think Hanoi Jane should not apologize, I'll bet that you were not even born when she committed treason against her own country. What she did caused more beatings and torture and I am sure killing of prisoners of war. Yes, she should apologize to the veterans of Vietnam. And she has never apologized.

No she did not, and yes if she had done what she did in Vietnam, during WW2 she would have been shot or hung as a traitor.

as far as I know, she never really owned up to the harm she did our soldiers nor apologized for it. she may have done some sort of pseudo-apology about getting her pic taken sitting on the tank.
I don't care for her at all.
