i would like to say the radio isn't stolen, it belongs to a friend of mine who was given it but the person who gave it to him hasn't used it for a while and has since forgotten the code.

normally code for sony is 1234 but you can only put it in a few times so best to ring sony up

You will have to contact Sony and send in proof of ownership and perhaps even the radio in order to get the code. Otherwise for all they know you could have stolen the radio which giving the code to thieves would be completely against the point of having that feature to begin with.
