I gave up drinking for the month of January, after drinking almost every day for several years. If I start again would I get drunk really easily?

Not really easy but you'd probably get drunker faster. My buddy used to pound them down pretty good til he had his kid. His kid is about a year old now and he tried to drink last weekend like the old days. He ended up passed out on the bar, threw up, then sh!t his pants.

omg.....you sound JUST like my husband. He "quit" drinking Jan. 1 of this year. He had been drinking daily for many years. He didn't take a drink of any type of alcohol until this past weekend. He bought a bottle of Hennessey. He took about three or four good shots and said "that enough". He wasn't drunk but he could definately feel the effects. Before quitting, these shots really wouldn't have bothered him at all. So, it doesn't take too long for your body to lose its tolerance level.

Professional alcohol counselors and such will tell you that you pick up where you left off, so you may think that your drinking has changed but it will actually be right where you left it!And if you were drinking every day before you stopped, chances are you will be drinking daily again in no time.

Yes. Unfortunately, drinkers who reach a point of tolerance and beyond cannot begin drinking without hitting tolerance rather quickly. Good Luck, my husband kicked it and smoking.
