Are you sure it's ringworm? Many pitbulls have skin problems...allergies can sometimes look like other things. If it is ringworm, it can be treated with an over the counter antifungal cream. Make sure the dog cannot lick it off by going to your local pet store and getting an Elizabethan collar (cone shaped collar) for his head.

Ringworm is very very contagious and easily spread. You need to take your dog to the vet to get the medication to treat it, cause you can end up with it too.

Whom ever diagnosed your dog should be telling you how to treat it.

There are different methods depending on the severity of the ringworm. There are choices from topicals to oral fungicides. (some are available only by perscription and some are OTC) Also be aware that it is transmissable to other animals and humans as well.
