Hi Just a Girl, No one has the right to slap you, period! You were wrong in sneaking out and that is something you will have to take responsibility for. The excuse that everyone else does it, is pretty lame brained and I think you know it. You didn't say who slapped you, but I'm assuming it one your parents or guardian. You should try to talk this over with them and apologize for your behaviour but let them know that you will not tolerate being hit. If this was a one time thing, then your parent is probably sorry that they reacted that way. If you come from an abusive home, then you must address this. If you can't talk to your parents, try talking to your priest or minister, a school counsellor or someone else who has the authority to help you.

You got slapped? Big deal, it only shows your parents love you enough to make a well deserved statement and they did something you wouldn't soon forget. Consider it a blessing, they could have had you put in jail for the night.

If you're embarrassed about it, don't tell everyone and they won't know. In today's life, there isn't enough psychical punishment and the whole country's youth have gotten out of hand. I only hope it taught you a lesson and you won't do it any more. They are only trying to make you the best person/adult you can be.

Because you did something that you had no business doing! You need to take full responsibility for your actions and stop complaining about it! Besides, if you hadn't snuck out of your house, then you wouldn't get slapped!

The reason that you got slapped was to teach you a lesson and it would help you understand why you got slapped by your parent or guardian because they love you and want you to learn something from that.

If I were your parents, I would do more than slap you! If you have to sneak out that means you're up to no good. Have a little consideration for the people who love you.

Spanked and or punished, yes. Slapped, no. However, just because 'everyone does it', does not mean it is ok to disobey your parents rules. When you get your own home make your own decisions. 'Till then, grin and bear it. You may learn to be a better person for it or turn wild and self destructive. That choice will be yours.

Sneaking out of the house isn't right, but I don't believe in hitting your child. My mom slapped me a few times and I will remember it forever.

you shouldn't have been slapped, that's for sure.

and i know that you know sneaking out is bad. i guess whoever did it to you doesn't ever want you to sneak out again. they were probably very worried and care alot for you, and they probably just got caught up in the moment.

however, slapping someone is no way to prove a point.

be careful, hun!

Slapping is a good start.. Punishment like grounding etc. is even better. Hopefully you learned your lesson to not do it again.
