Oh that's right....an ancient book and some misinformation about entropy and carbon dating.

Praise (enter a deity here)! I am convinced.

The 'ancient' book you're referring to is considered to be a more credible source to some than the scientific studies that you consider credible. I agree that it's pretty obvious that the bible as a single source of information is pretty weak, but you have to consider that not everyone is going to agree on what's credible and what isn't.

If I asked you who the best musician through all of recorded history was, you might say "Elvis Presley". I might then ask you why you thought so, and you might tell me your parents listened to Elvis when you were growing up. Or you might make reference to the many gold records. Those would be your sources. I might think it was Chopin because so many people still play his music after a much longer period of time. You and I simply cold disagree on who the best musician is, and we could both think that the other's sources of information are crap.

Does that mean you're wrong? Or that I am?

If you discredit the bible as an 'ancient book', then you clearly find no basis for creationism. If creationists discredit all the research done by science, then they clearly find no basis for evolution.

No, there's so much more evidence than that.

1. On earth oxygen comprises 21% of the atmosphere. If oxygen were 25% fires would erupt spontaneously; if it were 15 percent human beings would suffocate.

2. If the atmosphere were less transparent, not enough solar radiation would reach the eath's surface. If it were more transparent we would be bombarded with far too much solar radiation down here.

3. If the moon-earth gravitational interaction were greater than it currently is, tidal effects on the oceans, atmosphere, and rotational period woudl be too severe. If it were less, orbital changes would cause climatic instabilities. In either event life on earth would be impossible.

4. If the Cabon Dioxide Level were higher than it is now, a runaway greenhouse effect would develop (we'd all burn up). If that level were lower than it is now, plants would not be able to maintain efficient photosynthesis (we'd all suffocate)

5. The gravitational pull coudln't be any different for life to exist here on earth. If the gravitational force were altered by 0.0000000000000000000000000000... percent our sun would not exist, and therefore, neither would we.

There are 122 of these points. Would you like me to continue? There is such an exact precision on earth that it cannot have happened without an intelligent Creator.

The best evidence for Creation is that the naturalistic origin of life, the naturalistic origin of information and progressive evolution are all impossible according to the Laws of Science.

There are only 2 alternatives the naturalistic explanation of origins above and the supernatural one. The naturalistic one is ruled out as an unscientific absurdity.
So we are left with the only logical alternative, Creation. Which as a supernatural event is not subject to Scientific Laws governing matter and naturalistic events.

Other than the fact that we are here talking there is no evidence. That is what faith is for, I am a Christian but I believe in evolution and I love science. For me it is simple, I try to focus on the teachings of Jesus as a means to live my life better. Not because I have to but because I want to. When I am gone I want people to remember me as an honest, loving, person who never judged anyone and would help others any way he could. If I die and there is no afterlife than I have lost nothing, but if there is……………..

Well considering carbon dating can only go up to the 10's of thousands and not the millions necessary to support an evolution model of creation, I think your argument is moot. Also carbon dating can only date something that was once living, NOT rock. Carbon dating cannot give you the millions of years necessary. Currently there is no dating method without problems. The only thing in this day and age, using real science that dates the world as millions of years is an outdated theory, that was a "good" theory but has since been proven wrong, but like an aging celebrity, it refuses to give up the ghost. More reading and less mocking thank you.

Ok seriously....evolution. Even if evolution happened with two chunks of rock slamming together...something still had to make that happen. In my opinion (so not to upset anyone) evolution is a way to distract people from living by faith. Because if you think about it it is hard to believe in something just by faith...infact wouldn't you say it would be the hardest thing to do?

Where is the evidence for evolution? Why do the theories keep changing? Creationism has never changed. Facts always have and always will stay the same.

P.S. Jesus loves you.

Their story is so fake that the bible say God created the sun, moon & stars on the 4th day.

Well religious folks if this is true, how did you get 3 days before without the SUN? What was used for you to measure time?

I don't wish to be facetious, but the actual "evidence" behind evolution is only good to a point. Beyond that point, even the worlds greatest scientists, philosophers and thinkers are unable to define.

If you can give me a compelling case as to where we came from, where we're going and why we're here, then i'm all for it. In the meantime I'll stick to my considered scepticism (about both creation and evolution) and basemy opinions on the facts as they're presented and my understanding of the world we live in.
