Once your pregnant and try to get insurance it's considered a pre-existing condition and the benefits won't be applicable to you. So, that option is out the window. You need to call Family Services or Social Services. They'll be able to help or at least point you in the right direction.

Good Luck hun, I know you've got to be stressing!

If you or your husband have it available through either job, you should be able to add on and the pre-existing rule doesn't apply a lot of the time. Are you absolutely sure you can't get it through AHCCCS? I just looked at the application online and if you are pregnant, sometimes they can count the unborn child as a household member which raises the income limit. You just need to have verification of the pregnancy. Go to a local clinic like planned parenthood, take a test, and get a pregnancy verification letter or form from them and submit it with your application. If that is still a no go, check with the local clinics and see if any of them can give you prenatal care on a sliding scale. Set aside and save as much money as you can per month until delivery to cover the birthing fees. You can also check with any of the OBGYN's in private practice and see if they will accept you with no insurance on a sliding scale or if they have any other ideas for you to get insurance or low cost prenatal care. That's all I can think of.

Oh, I just found this:

Check it out and see what happens. Good luck.

Have you tried Kids Care it is for family's with children who make to much to qualify for AHCCCS I have it and pay $45 a month for my coverage. Or cut back on your hours at work. Your proboly going to end up doing that at some point anyway.
