Okay,I see many people on here saying how much they hate for Jehovah Witnesses knocking at their, but their only doing what Jesus did.Their preaching the word of god to you so that you won't be misled into all these false religions. The only reasons Jehovah Witnesses dont drink and party, etc.,is because that is worldly things, and since the devil has a great influence upon the world, then that means that people are following in the way of the devil, again mileading themselves away from god.

It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.

Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.

However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.

(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Although, JW's speak as if they are ridiculed more than other Christians(probably as an attempt to "prove" they are the true religion), they are not an exception. Every religion could say others have said "rude" or "bad" things about them.

The majority of Believers are aware that Witnesses deny the Divinity of God, and have twisted various scriptures to support their human interpretation of Truth.

Thus, you will find Christians who speak to correct and rebuke this practice, as the Bible clearly states this must be done. Believers should not sit back passively and deny heresy. They are to boldly speak up, as long as it is done with respect and gentleness. Of course Witnesses will not like this, and that is to be expected. However, it should not sway Believers.

There is a video entitled "Jehovah's Witnesses: History of Shame" that may be of interest to others.

I never act rude towards them when they come in masses knocking on my door and I don't say anything when they hand me a piece of paper saying that the end is coming and I better join them now.

I'm a Baptist and disagree with the background of the Jehovah's Witnesses considering their movement was started in the late 1800's - early 1900's by a man that claims the end is happening when it clearly states in the Bible that this is something only God will know. I also dislike the idea of saying that only a small amount of people will be in Heaven and God has already chosen who they are... only God will know how many he lets into heaven and that is God's choice and his choice alone.

I know that they have been pretty judgemental to some people when knocking on their doors... and luckily they have not spoken any judgement to me or I would have had to answer otherwise about the rudeness.

I think most people are rude and criticize Jehovah Witnesses because they are either ignorant or disrespectful. I respect all religions and people and appreciate the dedication that the Jehovah Witnesses have. I have studied with them on numerous occassions, and although we agreed to disagree on a number of things, I was better able to understand them as a people. I wouldn't take anything anyone says personally.

Jehovah Witnesses are such a crude people. So dark and mysterious. Even darker than Goths. It can just give a person the creeps, just trying to deal with them. One day can you believe? I brought them each a sealed bottle of water from my fridge and they actually asked me for a glass, Well! I made sure when they left it was without my glasses you betcha. And they just couldn't shut up. Seems like one of them would talk for awhile and then the other would jump right in. Like they had everything rehearsed as if they had did it a hundred times before. Any way by the time I could get them out the door my momma was almost converted and her already a born again Christian. Intrusive that's what they are down right intrusive. BB

Many people who say rude and bad things about JWs say equally rude and bad things about Moslems, Jews, Baptists, Catholics, and so on. It's just that the JWs are more "in your face" with their constant door-knocking. They choose to maintain a high public profile, so a good deal of rubbishing goes with that territory. Unfortunately, many JWs take this as a sign of persecution. It confirms their belief that "the world" hates them and their message. What JWs cannot cope with is gentle, loving-kindness, and the assurance that you are going to pray for them.

They need all the help they can get, folks. They are following 12 men in New York, accepting everything these 12 men say, without question. They are convinced these men are God's channel for today, and that God's Truth is entrusted to them, and them alone! Give the sincere rank and file a rest and consider who are controlling them. Nearly 7 million very nice people are working their socks off for no money, just the possibility that they might survive Armageddon. Why not tell them they need to trust in Christ alone and follow him, and they'll have heaven?

I am a Witness & in case anybody's noticed, we take the criticism pretty well. Our "doctrine", as you said, comes stright from the Bible. We do what Jesus did. When you think about it, following what he said is not very hard. False religion twists it into something mean/confusing though. It was foretold in the Bible that God's true religion would be noticed by their love for eachother/neighbor, their "fruits", & their strong opposition & the way they react to it. Please read further about us, we're always ready to talk, & we NEVER charge a cent. so feel free to attend 1 of ou rmeetings.

I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses. The rude things people say about us just convince me even more that we have the truth. It was Jehovah that said in Gen 3:15 "I [bold] shall put enmity between ...."...it's a fulfillment of prophecy and Jesus said it would happen too.

As foretold in the Bible, any Christian who acknowledges belief in God, and that Christ died for our sins, regardless of their religious affiliation, will be hated and ostracized by many. Not just Jehovah Witnesses.

I do not practice either of the following religions....

However, Evangelicals and Catholics seem to have received a lot more ridicule than Jehovah Witnesses lately.

Were it not for the fact Witnesses went door to door(drawing attention to themselves), and taught such an OVERT and contradictory view of the Divinity of God, I doubt they would be noticed much at all.

I'm a Witness, and I know exactly what you are talking about. Everytime someone posts a question referring to the Witnesses, people get super offensive and rude!

Maybe it's because they know it's some truth to what we teach. All of our teachings are based solely and completely on the Bible. Not man made doctrines or teachings we make up. It's all there right in any bible you read.

Some say we have out own Bible, but that is not true. We can use any bible you hand us and prove our teachings to you. Believe me, I've done that at the door with persons before!

If they would just give us a chance and at least listen to what we have to say when we knock on the door instead of hiding behind the couch, maybe they will see the truth in it, and stop believing so many rumors.

After all, Jesus told his true followers to teach and preach to all the nations of the inhabited earth. And that's just what we do. Jesus also stated that his follwers would be the ones marked by love, saying they would have love among themselves. Love for God and for neighbor. If your neighbor's house was on fire, would you not alert them immediately and do all you can to help them save themselves???

Well...that's exactly what we do. God states in Psalms 37:9-11 that the wicked will be destroyed and the righteous will inherit the earth. So I want all to inherit the earth along with me and live forever in peace.

I hope that helped!

One person on here said "The Truth hurts". Whether you take our beliefs as true or not, many of our Bible based teachings fly in the face of convienence. Case in point, when we through studying the Bible saw Christmas to be pagan, we stopped celebrating it. This urks many who, among other things, do not like feeling there fun time is being looked down on.
