Yes it's rude. Banks are customer service focused industries, but asking politely is (SHOULD STILL BE) the norm. I work in a customer service industry and when customers forget what manners are and start "demanding" things, then I pretend I can't speak English. (oh, I'm obviously caucasian btw)

Yes, that would be considered rude by most people, but obviously not by them! Maybe just try smiling and politely saying, "Here, let me help you with that" the next time you see someone reaching for something. Or maybe put some extra items out on your counter for customers to use, if your boss doesn't mind. Good luck!

Keep all that either out of reach or out of sight so that the slobs can't get to them. Beyond rude.

Hide those items. Yes it is rude. I would never do that at a bank myself.

Yes, they should ask. Move the stuff farther back so they can't reach it. People are not being taught manners at home anymore.
