Doing a science project with teeth and soaking them in coffee, juice, softdrinks and wine. Need scientific explain why the teeth become stained.

Coffee and tea are notorious, as is red wine. Soft drinks have a great deal of acid which wears away at the enamel. As we grow older the little cracks in the enamel appear they are too small to notice with the naked eye, however this is where the colour deposits from the tea, smoking etc.

I saw someone say the sugar. NO NO NO it is not the sugar.

Some food products are natural dyes. Coffee, Tea, Blueberry, cranberry. Many berries were used, before synthetic dyes were invented, for fabric colors.
