i have a stomach virus and i missed my first day of classes. my resources are limited, too. i don't think i can make it to the dining hall tonight, because it's too much walking and movement. i only had one cup of chicken noodle soup even though i could've sworn i bought more, and the rest of it is tomato, which the nurse told me not to eat. i can't find any ginger ale on campus, either. i have diet coke, and she gave me some gatorade...

i had some gatorade and a couple saltines earlier and it made me feel sick. this is so frustrating and i don't know what to do. i'm contagious at this point, too.

i have ramen, but that's pure crap and i don't know if it would make me feel worse, ingesting questionable chemicals. should i go for it, as it poses to be chicken noodle soup?

Doctors recommend that when children are vomiting or have diarrhea, they eat the BRAT diet:

Bananas
Rice
Applesauce
Toast

Liquids are vital - as long as you can keep them down, you'll be fine without food for a day or two. If you vomit, do not try to eat or drink anything for at least an hour to let your stomach settle. Soup can be too salty, and you definitely don't want tomato soup - too acidic. Gatorade and clear soda (not coke) is good for rehydration. Let your stomach be your guide.
