If she does, she will need your Social Security Number because the IRS will demand it. If you are doing this more than just part time, you will now have reported income that will have to be included on your own tax filing if made over $8450 during the year, so make sure she tells you how much she is putting on her taxes. You don't want to understand what she claimed. Did you do this in your home or hers. If it was at your home use a tax pro to get all the available write offs for business use of your home

She can use your social security number instead of a corporate tax id #.
This of course means you'll have to file taxes reflecting the income you received...

She can file. I haven't had to do this in many years, but you used to have to provide the name of your sitter and address if asked. If she does that, you should file. If you don't, you may run into trouble. You don't need a tax ID #, just a ssn.

Is she paying social security taxes for you? If not, then it's under the table and she's going to have a hard time justifying child care expenses without a payee.
If so, then all's above board.

In order for her to claim it, I'm pretty sure she'll need your social security number. If you give this to her, you'll need to claim the income on your 1040 also.

You'll have to claim what you make from her as income on your taxes. You don't have to be licensed, but you have to report the income.

be very wise, if she pays in check you should make a copy of every check you receive, but if it's cash then you should not worry at all.
