Go out with your friends, celebrate the time you are apart. Do not call him on the phone, and if he calls you first don't be so eager to call him back right away, call him a couple of days later (bet he's now made a couple of calls to you). Don't give explanations on where you are going, where you been and why you must cut this call short, but tell him your space for this time frame has been occupied. Do, do, do enjoy this time with family, friends. If you are the one for him, you will find out quickly!

I birthed all my seven children. My first, a girl scared me. This little thing fragile as can be had POWER over me. Overwhelming. Intimidating. The nurse came in, her mom asleep me kinda and thought somebody had taken the baby . Her crib was empty but paperwork said she should be there. I had to wave both hands signalling she was on my chest in a carrier. But father daughter isn't the same. With parenthood you play your hand. With relationship, you decide to be true onesidedly because thats what you do. Thats part of the wonder of life.

Take it easy. It might be possible that your so called boy-friend start running here, there and everywhere in that so called given space, so be careful. Your so called space granting might prove dangerous for your so called reelationship.

I'm experiencing the opposite problem with my girlfriend.. I'm so sticky
plan new things
.. the more you work on something that motivates you and that you love, and that gives you meaning for your life, the less you'll end up looking for the previous things in your partner.
at that point you'll have such a great self-esteem to cope with any possessive behaviour..
when you have a good opinion of yourself regardless of whats going on in your life, then you don't need anything more

i don't know what you mean by giving him space, because there are alot of different things he could mean. he might mean that you are to clingy, or maybe he wants to break up, and try other people while still liking you. you have to talk to him about what he means, but guys aren't very emotional so you have to be carefull.
good luck =)

let him have some nights with his friends... all guys need that - its important so that they can keep their sanity... spending all their time with girls can be aggrivating and frustration at times because we share different emotions... I make sure that my boyfriend has a guys night out once or twice a week.. and it give me time to myself and my friends as well...
